Six Rosés Now Time for a Nap

We've just got back from a Gourmet Wine and Food Festival in Donnybrook, Western Australia. We enjoyed sampling some of the produce on display. There was a good selection of jams, cheeses and other produce as well as probably a dozen different wineries offering wine tasting. We sat in on a cooking demonstration then went to an appreciation talk on rosé wines. Each person has six different rosés in front of them and we were talked through each one. Most of us didn't finish our samples. I was first with an answer at the finish and won a bottle of rosé so I was pretty happy. We have Turkish gozleme for lunch and enjoyed that too. The weather chose to turn on the heat today though and it was good to get home and into a relatively cool house. I think we'll both be having a nap shortly.

Mmm - they look appetizing - do you favour one? I like Rosés for light lunches especially - and then a NAP

@JudyEv oops - I hope you all managed the driving okay - Rosé ha a tendency to make one feel like you're sipping cooldrink and therefore we indulge in more

@Inlemay That's the problem I think. It is light and very drinkable so you have more than you might otherwise have.

We've just got up from naps. That's the trouble with drinking in the middle of the day. We couldn't indulge too much as one of us had to drive home. :)

A fun trip and a free bottle? Sounds like a perfect day. Do you usually have warm weather at this time of year?

We're into our summer now so it should stay quite hot for a few months.

A nap sounds good here too! It is cooler than we expected it to be.

Thanks. It is a chance for local small businesses to sell their wares and get information about their products out into the community.
