In six short days, my little Inkwell will be returning to his daddy's house until we get him again upon our return from wintering in Florida in April.
I miss him already. I've been trying to prepare him for both our departures.
Doodles learned a few more words during this eight month stay with us. Here are a few:
* airplane: Grammy and Grampy are flying to Florida in an airplane
* sky: The airplane will fly in the sky with the birdies
*FaceTime: Grammy will FaceTime with you and Daddy
*Love: Grammy loves you
*Wet: Grammy is so sorry she made you all wet (from tears)
*Inkwell, Monkey: Names he answers to
Now off to a goodbye lunch with my friends. I hate to leave him!

@DianneN So , my intelligent lamp is also sideways with you . It's not , when it's my laptop at the office i am using . But when at home and have used my iPad , it is really sideways .
I think it's that ways , when we use our tablet or iPad .

OH DianneN will you not be home for Christmas? I hope both you and your husband are well and he is getting over his surgery. The warmth will do him a lot of good. Have a wonderful time in Florida. (Take him with you

@DianneN Sorry DianneN you have Hanukkah will you celebrate that instead? Whatever you do I am sure you will have a wonderful time down there. Well these things take time Dianne so I hope that he improves in the nice warm weather down there. Hydrotherapy is wonderful. I hope you have a pool you can use! Shame about Doodles but I am sure he will give you a look of disgust when you come back just as a reward! LOL

@garymarsh6 Thanks. Chanukah is more a children's holiday. We will be celebrating being in Florida all winter long with friends and family. Lol! We do have a pool and the beach, so we will use both frequently. I'm sure my son will make Doodles feel very welcome when he picks him up on Monday.

Oh I feel bad for you both. My son and his gf broke up and they had a dog. She took Bones. When he came home for Thanksgiving he went and got Bones for a couple of days here with us. My son said when he walked into his ex gf house Bones went crazy with happiness seeing my son. My son said he feels so bad for Bones because he doesn't understand why his daddy is gone.

@fishtiger58 I hope he sees Bones again soon. Doodles is waiting for me to take him out again. He is so patient, but let's me know in no uncertain terms that is what he wants to do. I'm going to miss holding and kissing him. He has become my baby boy.

@DianneN I am grateful they are still friends and yes she lets my son see Bones when he is in town. He brought Bones home for a couple of days here, I love him too. And Bones followed him around everywhere he went. Even sat at the bathroom door while my son showered.

It must be so hard for you to say goodbye to Doodles when you go to Florida but so great to see him when you get home. I am impressed with the words he learned. I would love Sophie to learn words too. I try but she does not want any part of it.

Awwwww that brought tears to my eyes. You are all going to miss each other so much. Poor Doodles but just think of how nice it will be when you reunite in April. He is so handsome!
