I hate being sick...especially on a weekend

But I guess it's better than missing work because of it. It still sucks though. Someone was 'kind' enough to come to work sick and pass whatever it is on to me. I can hardly talk, my sinuses are blocked, feels like someone shoved a red-hot poker down my throat. I spent an entire 10 seconds doing my 'Morning Coughee Moment' video this morning. On the bright side, someone rented my big sound amp and pair of 18" Peavey subwoofers for two school dances, one last night (Friday) and one Monday, so I'll pick up a little extra cash there. On the dark side...this sucks

This is not a good start of December, the fall from the ladder first and now this garbage thing. Get well soon.

It really isn't pleasant to be sick. It can be hard. But at least you have the weekend to rest and don't have to worry about work.

@JolietJake Yeah, not exactly what you want to do, when you're sick, but sometimes it has to be done. Hopefully, you can still get some rest.

It does suck to be sick on the weekend but like you said, at least you didn't have to miss work. I hate having the flu or having a cold. Not being able to breath annoys me so much. I hope you took care of yourself over the weekend and are feeling better now.

@JolietJake That's good news! It really does suck to have to go back to work when you aren't 100%. I hope you made it through the work day okay.

It seems such a waste in one way being sick when you're off work anyway but it's probably better than being at work and feeling like that

@JolietJake Talk to pharmacist they can help with getting something that will affect your medications. my ex-mother in law was diabetic and her doctor would have to give her something.

I take quite a bit of medication for diabetes myself, so I have to be careful that I don't take anything for being sick that could affect what I already take.

I don't think sinus problems are contageous, but maybe I don't really know. I think mainly colds and the flu is contageous. That seems to be a problem in lots of areas. Do you work at a desk where you don't have to be near the public? I got laryngitis on Thursday. I began taking my allergy meds and now my voice is coming back a little bit. I figure mine is due from either sinus drainage or allergies, neither of which I think are contageous. I just looked it up and sinus congestion can be caused by the common cold, so I was wrong there. I have co-workers that had laryngitis before I got it, but one gal didn't have any other symptoms although I did hear her cough. I started with a sore throat which turned into laryngitis. I'm guessing I had sinus drainage although I didn't feel it at the time. Today the voice is better but I do have a headache and sinus pressure on my forehead and cheekbones. I guess I'll have to research this out more. Since I do work with the public, I could have gotten it from just about anyone if I got it from someone.

Viral infections can cause laryngitis, and that would be contagious for a period of time.

There have been times when I was glad to be sick on a weekend that I had off. It was better to suffer and get better in the comfort of my own home. The elderly clients I care for would not be able to handle getting a sickness. Best to keep it to myself.

Good morning, and I'm sorry that you're feeling so rough. That was my day 2 days ago, and I know that Jenn had it earlier in the week too. I hope that you feel better soon, I drank a lot of tea-which I don't drink unless I am sick, but it did help.

I used to always get sick on the weekend, but fine to go to work on Monday. I guess that is the best way to go to no miss work.
