Even Big Strong Wild Panthers need a bit of love occasionally, so they just stand between you and the keyboard and stare until you pick them up and give them some.
In between coughee, cigarettes, laundry, facebook, and myLot, I have to take time out to give him some attention/affection.
It makes life just a little better for both of us.

@JolietJake Look at him here. Quite scrawny and 'adolescent'. He has grown into a really handsome cat. And such relationships are never really one-sided.

@JudyEv I think he may have been about 8 weeks old here...this was the day after I brought him home. He'd appeared at a friend's house in the country a few days previously and I went out there to do sound for a shindig...he started following me around and they asked if I would take him, their animals didn't like him being around.

He's usually a bit stand-offish...not big on being held or picked up...but when He decides it is time, it is time lol

@JolietJake He was such a cute little thing when you have rescued him. He is still a cute little panther.

Yep. When I pick Scar up (and he didn't ask me to), he's good for about 30 seconds...and only if I am standing. If I sit down BOOM he's gone.

Hush. People will start to think I'm going senile or some such thing.

I understand that one completely. Ruby often prefers to be off on her own, but then she will park herself by my side and demand some love. And then, in one fell swoop, she's on her back, offering me a fat little belly to scratch. And then everyone is happy.

I really need to get some video of him in 'play' mode...he's got this thing where he opens his mouth halfway and starts darting his head back and forth at me

This is normally a once-per-day thing. He's not real big on being held, but he has this 3-4 minute window where he wants to be right with me.
