Busy Busy Busy Kind of Day

With bad weather being predicted for the weekend I figured today would be a good day to go out and run some errands which included mailing a few packages to relatives, dropping off a small gift to the girl who cuts my hair, went to the supermarket to pick up the hams we need for Christmas dinner along with other things I threw in the cart and then went to drop off our old recycling pail at the town hall. (whew...was that sentence long enough?)
Whew is how I feel after being out for most of the afternoon. I'm not used to doing so many things at once since my knees complain (quite loudly) and getting in and out of the car was hard. The freezing cold temperatures didn't help and of course I don't have a handicap parking permit so I had to hunt for a space.
Getting a handicap permit is on my "to do" list for the New Year as it's getting harder and harder to walk a long distance when I need to go to the store.
Anyway, I just wanted to drop in and say hello even though it's evening in my part of the myLot world.

I have such trouble bending my knees so getting in and out of the car is a hassle but parking a long distance from the store does me in

@Marilynda1225 Knee and hip replacements are quite common here but maybe it isn't as expensive as these things seem to be in the US.

What weather is predicted for the weekend? We will be in mid 60's with rain. Yesterday it was 32..crazy weather.

We're supposed to get a wintry mix tonight and into Sat morning with possibly 1 to 5 inches of snow.

Oh I feel your pain. Thankfully I was not asked to shop for anyone today. But, I know that tomorrow I will need to shop for a client. Good thing she doesn't usually have a long list. Tomorrow it is supposed to be brutal with the windchill.

My day was a little rough since I went for my 3 hour glucose test. I'm exhausted. And glad it's over with.

I remember when my daughters had to go for those glucose tests when they were pregnant...no fun but glad you got it over with

We share your frigid weather, but our day was not too busy after Anne's doc appt and a stop at Trader Joe's. I filled the bird feeders and mylotted quite a bit, then helped with dinner.

@Marilynda1225 She is taking prednizone for a persistent pain in her arm below the elbow. I brought my hummingbird feeders in last night due to 21 degree temps and put them out early this morning. There is a lot of competition for them.

@Marilynda1225 So far our accumulation covers the ground. I'm hoping they keep their promise and we get 6-10 by the time it's all said and done.

I had a busy day. Other than taking the dog out...putting the recycling and compost in the bins I stayed inside. The cold wind wasn't very pleasant.

The wind was pretty fierce here too but I needed to get things done so going out wasn't much of an option. I would have preferred to stay home and be warm

It's good to get those things done, we are having the horrible cold right now so yesterday I got enough food for 3 meals and plan on staying in the next few days.

This frigid cold is horrible with my joints so it makes everything harder to do. I hate getting old!! LOL

@Marilynda1225 I too am not fond of getting old. My blood hasn't thickened yet lol, so the cold feels really awful.
