Lazy

Dec 17, 2016 Do you ever feel lazy? At the moment I do, and I blame the cold weather. I just want to burrow under my feather comforter, turn on the heat, snuggle in and sleep, sleep, sleep. I wonder if this is how the bears feel after they've stuffed themselves in the late fall. There's ice still all over the place, even on the path to my mailbox, and I don't want to chance walking on it. Today I was sitting in a chair, watching commentary on Game of Thrones and I nodded off. Is it laziness? Or what? Do you ever doze off while sitting upright?

@blitzfrick It's hard when you do not sleep well during the night. I wake up every couple of hours.

@LadyDuck Oh my! I went through that type sleep cycle in 2015, but finally got better. I sleep 6 or 7 hours now, when I finally get to sleep. Every 2 hours is so difficult, and maybe not good for your health, Anna.

Me too, Anna! I fight sleep at night. I guess I don't want to miss anything at night, yet during the day I just want to lie around and nap under a nice warm comforter!

Hahahaa This happens with me as well. Yeah winter is actually the season where in we tend to feel too lazy and I usually tend to stay under my blanket most of the time and used to get scolding from my mother lol

I am glad I'm not the only one. There's something about the cold and the dark that makes me sleepy. I wonder what cavemen did in the wintertime, I mean, did they hibernate or what?

@blitzfrick Umm sometimes I wonder this as well. May be they explore ways to save themselves from the cold.

Sometimes at night when I am watching some TV (sitting up) I doze off.

Yes, it's generally the tv that makes me drowsy, but now and then it just sort of comes over me. I can't figure it out.

I doze off on my bed with my guitar or mandolin now and then. I'm trying to escape lazy mode right now as well.

@blitzfrick I enjoy being Type Zzzzz. But I can only be so during breaks. It doesn't matter (to me) what season it is.

Instead of Type A, I think I must be a Type Zzzzz. Do you think this is some sort of seasonal thing? Like worse in winter?

Yeah I want to be lazy. But I have to get packing soon for my trip. Too bad packing isn't as easy as Mary Poppins.

I too must swing into gear every now and then, not at all like before I retired when I had to wake up in gear, lol. As far as packing I start at least a couple of weeks ahead, making a list if nothing else. What is your method, if you have one?

@blitzfrick I don't actually make a list, but I usually have in mind what I want to wear/pack. Yeah I have almost finished packing. I just have to get out my pajamas and socks.

I do sometimes but my husband drops off almost immediately. He gets quite cross about it as he regularly misses the news by going to sleep.

I've never been able to fall asleep fast, but oh when the drowsiness hits, there's no hope, I'm just gone.

It is that time of year where you just want to hibernate until it is arm again haha thankfully it is not so cold here but cold enough to make me just not want to move from my cozy slumber dome. But I still manage to do stuff, not wanting to but it is happening haha!
