1988 photo converted from 35mm film to cd .... this is my first kitty, Prissy.

As some of you know I am a shutterbug and recently I have been sifting through all my old photos trying to find the one I had taken of my first pet. Prissy was a beauty, she was mixed siamese, burmese and ally cat .... her momma snuck out and got romantic with the wrong fella when I was kitty sitting for a friend. She and her two siblings were born in my coat closet. She was the sweetest kitty anyone could have wanted but she was big at 16 pounds in her prime. What have you been doing on this next to the end of 2016? I hope I will find more old shots of this beauty, I'm still looking.

She is a gorgeous cat. Our young cat is at least 15 pounds if not more. She is a chunky monkey. I have turkey soup on the stove. Once it is done we will have it for our dinner. I promised a friend that I would bring her a bowl of it next week. Good thing it is a big pot! I love homemade soup and will have it for my lunch most of next week.

Thank you, I thought she was gorgeous too. Ahh, so you have a big girl too. Yep, soups the way to go. I have taters being boiled and broth bein simmered, soon I'll add some eggs then I'll share some of it with my pup. Once she gets her share I add the salsa and other spices I like. I'd love to hurry the process but I've learned that doesn't make for very good soup.

@rebelann I started my soup yesterday. Hubby just muttered that he is hungry. So I guess I'll check the soup to see if it's done.

Oh, you're doing a REAL soup @ElusiveButterfly I'm cheating, I'll combine taters and broth a little later then add the eggs and add the fixins, it'll be ready to eat by this evening. I made the chicken broth last weekend which took 48 hours. Blasted, I made myself hungry.

WE stay home on New Years Eve, too many drunks on the road to take a chance of being killed...When we get together with friends is during the day on the 1st.

I do the same, in fact, I stay close to home throughout the holiday season, there are way too many sillies rushing around this time of year. I'll do my shopping next week when everyone is settled back at work and school.

Thank you. I was close to her when I took this shot so it's hard to tell how big she was. Of course in photos it is always hard to tell how big or small a person or pet really is.

Prissy was a beauty! That mixture made her exquisite. Doodles is 21 pounds, thanks to his grandma. My son has him on a diet. Been busy getting a mani/pedi and preparing for tomorrow night.

@rebelann He is a fatty! It's all my fault. I could make him prone to diabetes. He used to be sleek and muscular until I gave in to his crying around the treat cabinet. I also gave him lunch, because he gobbled up his breakfast by 10:30 AM. I thought he would never make it to dinner time at 6:30. I'm a Jewish mother (grandmother) and push food on everyone, including Doodles. I gave him treats after every walk, and bedtime treats, too, so he could brush his teeth before his bedtime bath and bed. Shame on me.

Beautiful photo. Beautiful cat. Going to visit my husbands employer. The annual visit is nice as they knew my in laws when they were all young. We hear such wonderful stories. Aand they feed us all these yummy treats.

I have a lot of 35mm and 126mm film, most of the paper copies have long since been lost or given away. Yes, Prissy was a beauty in her day. She was 15 in this shot.
