Mylotting from my phone

United States

Yesterday and today I did a bit of Mylotting from my phone. It dawned on me yesterday because I knew I wouldn't be able to get on my computer much. It was a very busy day. After work my son had basketball practice and after that I have volleyball that goes until 10pm.. naturally after that is bedtime! But I wanted to try to get on here at least a little as I don't want my notifications getting backed up and don't want to miss any of my friend's discussions (and I still want to try to reach payout at the end of the month). So in the morning and on my lunch break, and while waiting for my son at basketball I used my phone to check my notifications and respond to a couple of discussions. It's not too easy.. I much prefer my computer with the full size keyboard for typing. But at least I was able to check in a bit.. What is your favorite way to Mylot? Have you ever tried it from a phone?

I can barely see texts on my phone, no way I could mylot on a phone, I too prefer my desktop and huge screen.

My phone is pretty big actually. I'm not finding it too hard to Mylot from my phone.. it just takes a little longer, and typing is a bit of a pain.

@fishtiger58 I was happy with a plain ole phone I could text with.. but hubby got himself a smart phone and was playing with it and bragging about what he could do with it, downloading music to play and games, etc... so eventually I wanted one too..

@katsmeow1213 I bet it is, I used to have a smart phone but hated it so I went backwards in technology and now I don't have a smart phone lol

I have mylotted from a phone. I mylotted from my phone on Christmas Eve. I tend to use the voice to text option which can make it easier, though sometimes my voice isn't very understood by siri. I can understand the notificaiton thing, woo I've come on here with well over 100 and feeling too swamped to try to deal with it.

Normally my notifications aren't a problem, but I was a bit more active over the weekend and didn't want to chance having too many to deal with, so I've been trying to pop on a couple times a day to check on things.

@katsmeow1213 I think this is the most active week I've had in months.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It's certainly mine! I reached payout last month for the first time in a long time. I'm actually going to try my darndest to reach it again this month. It's been years since I've hit payout 2 months in a row.

I am currently on mylot with my phone but I prefer my laptop. :) It's easier to navigate on the laptop!

Yes, on my computer I open each notification in a new tab, I can't do that on the phone. But at least it helps me keep up with stuff when I don't have much time at home.

@infatuatedbby Exactly.. and it helps to cut down on how many notifications you come home to.

@katsmeow1213 Yes, I prefer to open new tabs my laptop and delete as I go. But when I am out and about or waiting - resorting to my phone and myLot is nice!

I use my tablet mostly. It's the same experience as a phone. With the auto spelling correction you almost forget how easier physical keyboards are. Besides, mylot is extremely mobile friendly.

It's not bad.. I just prefer the keyboard, and multiple tabs!

Since I have fat fingers, the phone is my last resort. I prefer my iPad. It's easier for me to see it. My computer is at my other home. My laptop has other programs running. I multitask.

Sounds exhausting! I used to multi task a lot too.. not so much anymore, at least not while I'm home.

@DianneN Sometimes... it's not too bad now that the kids are older. The hard part is they keep themselves so busy, and I'm the one who gets to run them from this practice to that one..

I don't have a mobile phone so I've never to myLot this way but I have heard others say that it's a bit tricky.

It can be. It's not as easy to type.. and I like to open each notification in a new tab, which you can't do on your phone so you have to keep going back to check the next notification.

@JudyEv it can be. But it's better than coming home to 150 notifications and missing a bunch.

I do not do internet from my phone. I have an extra phone, and even a tablet that I could use and do that, but I do not have time at work or anything to do it, so it would be pointless.

I check in on my lunch break just so I'm not bogged down when I get home. Plus there are a few days I just don't have much time. Today after work I had to bring my son to basketball, then had to do the shopping. Tomorrow we'll have a basketball game and a Winterguard show. I'm just always on the go! But if I can at least keep up with the notifications a couple times per day I can still earn even though I'm not home much.

I could Mylot with whatever device is on hand, it's not really an issue for me. I use to prefer the desk top but have now learned to use my phone just as efficiently

I just don't like to type from my phone. I'm much faster on a full sized keyboard.

@katsmeow1213 oh yes especiially if you have large fingers or long nails which I do not have, the advantage of a phone is you can Mylot in bed or while lying down.

I couldn't do it on the phone, it's just too much for my hands. I prefer more in my laptop. Probably on the ipod but not sure.

I don't have an ipod or tablet, and I'm not fond of laptops. I'm old fashioned I guess

I did, a few times but I prefer the computer. It's much easier, plus I tend to make too many typos when typing on the phone.

My phone auto corrects so I don't usually have any typos. It just takes a lot longer to say something on my phone than to type it on a normal keyboard.

I prefer the computer too because of the key board, I do use the iPad but one finger writing is not my thing... My kids do everything on their phones, I still don't have a cell phone..

I do a lot on my phone, but when it comes to typing I prefer my desktop.

Yes, I tried it especially when I wanted to add a photo from my phone gallery; though like you said, it is hard to type words like when using a big keyboard.

Yes, it's not really easy to type. I don't bother much with punctuation on my phone, and it takes longer.. but it is convenient.

Yes. Since 2012 I only use smartphones to make money online but I still wish I had a desktop computer. I could type faster than in laptop/netbook/smartphone.

@AkoPinay The mobile phone has come a long way. There are a lot of apps you can use to earn. The only trouble now is your battery life and finding wifi!

@katsmeow1213 I just gave it up because I often move from one place to another. Life of a happy single. Glad there are paying sites that work on mobile.

I agree that it is not easy to type from the smartphone. This is why I hardly will do Mylot by my phone. Most of the time I just post from my computer and everything will be much more convenient for me.

I also prefer the computer, but using the phone is a good way to check notifications when I'm not at home.

I have not tried it from my phone as of yet. I do get tired of sitting in this office, though. I think I will give it a whirl on my tablet first and see how it works.

Still the computer! I like to see my messages on the big screen. Maybe will try on Ipad. phone is too little for me. I dont think i cant type that fast or reply that fast but I might be using mobile if I get real bored and nothing to do outside.

It certainly isn't as fast, but it is convenient to be able to check Mylot when away from home.
