I went to the town where my doctors are today. I had an eye appointment. I see my eye doctor every six months, due to being diabetic. My eyes still look healthy, no diabetic retinopathy, no macular degeneration.
I like this eye doctor. He talks to me like I have a brain. . . and this is good. Some have not.
While in the area, I went to pick up my lab reports from my regular doctor. In addition to losing a little weight over the holidays, my A1c has dropped a full point. I am now below 7 on the scale we use in the US. This, incidentally, is the target my eye doctor wants me to aim for.
While wandering around Wal Mart waiting for hubby, I bought a new, light weight, tunic length sweater. I deserved something, you know.
We had a full and long day. Back to work tomorrow, the weather has been dark, gray, and damp, but it is not freezing. Good thing, I guess.

Nothing like a day well spent. If you think just reminiscing is not a day well spent think again. I do that sometimes I have so many events gone by to dwell on. Do you do that too?

I hope you had a good day when you went out. Sometimes that is the last piece of recovering, getting out for a change of scenery and some fresh air. I admire that you walk so many places.

@GardenGerty The fresh air was pleasant, but I did not stay out a lot because it was pretty cold and I did not want to risk to get sick again. I like to walk, winter is not the best season, spring is the best.

This seems to be a criteria of mine for people who provide my medical care. It is my body and they need to let me know what is going on and how to help manage it.

Keep that doctor. Those seem hard to come by. I am reading others posts about how bad theirs are.
A nice new sweater. That's great! I need to get me some clothes. Not much to wear.

I feel I need to up my game at least occasionally because I am working. When I consider how I have related to doctors, eye doctors and anyone else, I do not stay with them long if they act as if I am stupid. Just needing a good dental relationship now.

@GardenGerty .....I'm glad to hear this. It seems a lot of people don't want to cause any problems and will stay with a doctor even though they don't really feel they are getting the service that they should. I think there is a toll free number you can call for dentists in your area. There is the American Dental Association(or ada.org) and i would think you could call them.

My eyes have always had to be my priority. This sweater is warm but light weight.
