Nothing has changed yet...

Nope. It's still America, and it's still a great place. Maybe people should take a tip from the animals...they don't seem too upset about Trump. It is what it is...(edit: and I just found out it is evidently Squirrel Appreciation Day here, actually)

That would be nice if we were like the animals. We would only kill for food, not for sport. More significantly, and to your point, we'd only worry about legitimate fears, not contrived ones. All of this malarkey about Trump reminds me of what people said Obama was going to do, what Bush was going to do, what Clinton was going to do, etc. etc. etc. I have read newspaper articles from 1959 and 1960 that said America should steer clear of Senator John Kennedy as a presidential candidate because he was a Catholic and he'd either force all America to become Catholic or would put his allegiance to Rome ahead of the US. How did that work out? Then there was the president who said, "the only thing to fear is fear itself." If we only feared legitimate things instead of what naysayers tell us is "going to happen" then most of the news channels would go out of business and so-called "experts" would have to get real jobs. Fear sells, which is why so many hawk it.

Interesting. I didn't know such a thing existed. Is that a squirrel on your property? My dad had shot a white squirrel like that, not albino back in the 80's. We found out they are actually more rare than the albino ones. PS I agree people should take a tip from the animals! Of course that means people would have to evolve more...

That's a good photo of your albino squirrel. Is he albino or just white?

I see that there are still "Whiteys" in Olney and that the bust of an ultra-conservative British racialist has replaced the image of a black egalitarian in the White House. Old Faithful hasn't blown its top (yet) and apple pies are still baked and eaten. Yes, it's still America (for all its faults) and home is still where the heart is.

Yep. It is what it is. But, I am one who gets nervous if I don't have something to worry about.

Oh, a PS -- I love albino squirrels! I used to see some on the University of Louisville campus when I'd go to the library there.

This is the only one in my neighborhood that is white (started coming here about 7 months ago as a baby) but there are a couple in surrounding blocks as well.
