Some realize that being happy is often a choice.
The song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams is one that seems to get money in a good mood. The video, shared below, is fun. For me, I would question how anyone could watch him and not be in a better mood!

I don't get people like that @PatZAnthony if I see a happy person I just get happier. Could be those that are annoyed are a tad bit jealous.

@rebelann A few have told me and others in the family it is not normal to be happy all the time. What?

I think you can in some degree. I choose not to worry as much as some do. I'm not even that "freaked out" about Trump's election. But for those with serious anxiety or depression issues, it can be harder. It can be difficult to get out of bed, to eat, to get stuff done, to listen well to others, etc.

@PatZAnthony I'm glad that I tend to be optimistic and friendly, even though I do have my dark and cynical moments. In my case, I think it IS partially a choice. When people say, "Life sucks, and then you die," I don't disagree with them. But I'd rather say, "Today, I play music with a friend, and then I watch a little football."

There was once in my lifetime I was very unhappy. I had to teach myself to be happy. It is such an elusive thing.

I believe I don't need videos like that to change my mood. I can be happy when I go to the sea or exercise or do something different than my usual routine. I like listening to Joyce Meyer's ministry as she reminds me that happiness is a choice.

Joyce Meyers often has some good points. Happiness is a choice for many of us, while others like to concentrate on the gloom and doom in the world.

@PatZAnthony And we can choose how we react to this, that and the other. Fly off the handle, let it slide, be offended, blah blah. We can actually make life a lot happier for ourselves once we become aware that we can choose our reaction.
