I never can figure out what you people here like...

If I stopped and thought about it, it would bother the hell out of me. I spent a small amount of time yesterday posting something I thought was funny...it garnered 3 responses and 7 'likes'...and I was sure more people would find it as funny as I did. But nope. It pretty much got ignored. No big deal...I won't lose any sleep over it, it won't change how I operate here in any way...it's not like I was trying to make it to the #1 spot on top rated...but when spam advertisements can get likes and responses, it just makes me wonder what makes some of you tick. Oh well...back to the drawing board...

With respect (which means no respect at all) sometimes your posts are a bit hard to respond to - at least they are for me. Sometimes I don't quite know what to say. I don't suppose it bothers you but it puts me in a quandary so I might like and move on or occasionally I ignore it. Maybe you're a bit too intellectual for some of us. Having said all that - I sometimes put up something I think is great and I hover anxiously waiting for all the likes and comments I'm going to yet and it falls absolutely flat. Like you, I then say 'back to the drawing board'.

@JolietJake I went back to see which post got 7 likes and only 3 responses. I can understand that people found it hard to leave a comment. It would be easy to upset people with comments on such a post, which may not bother you but I'm less keen on upsetting others.

I wouldn't worry. Sometimes it's just a question of timing. I'm very rarely on here at weekends so tend to miss anything and everything that gets posted. Maybe a lot of your followers (is it just me are does that phrase sound a little disturbing in a dodgy cult-like fashion?) aren't weekend people.

I often wonder if there are psycologists here making a study of what we say and do. It would be interesting to see the results

I pop on and off. Sometimes I don't see every discussion. Sometimes I simply decide not to comment. It's always disappointing when you post a discussion that falls flat.

@JolietJake that is so true. On the old Bubblews site...my number one post was a fluff piece I wrote about my granddaughter praying about in a pair of high heels. It was embarrassing to see It keep getting visits day after day...it had so many views, an unbelievable number of likes and comments.

I'm used to it somewhat...I just don't get how 'throwaways' I don't put any kind of effort into can do so much better than the ones I actually think about when I do them.

I forgot to log in to my other 3,158,749 myLot accounts so I guess that is why that post of yours didn't get that many likes and comments. No worries, I'll work on it now.

No worries. I could not write something funny if I tried. However a lot of the things I come out with when talking to people offline have them howling with laughter. I then think well what did I say? So I would not let it bother you and just write what you think. I have seen you post before yes. Think I responded but not sure now at least right now as 100 things are going through my mind like a high speed train.

Uh-oh - I think I missed it. I wish I could get to all the posts that get posted out there, especially from friends . . . but I just can't! So it's not that it didn't make me tick . . . I'm ticked I didn't get to it .

It's hard to guess what people will like - sometimes a very mundane post about the weather will hit that top spot, while far more interesting posts languish well below it.

Now I feel obligated to go to your profile, figure out which post left you feeling so despondent, like it, and comment on it. I hope that makes your feel less ignored.

I usually spend my time responding to my notifications and barely complete them before moving on. I find it difficult to reply to multiple posts by the same author in one day, too.
