What are some of the silliest breakfasts you've had?

I had to teach an 8 AM class today. Due to issues I will describe in another post, I had to get there early. I looked at my Frosted Shredded Bit Size Wheats and was overcome with a sense of boredom. What did I have for breakfast instead? Searching my fridge, I found some leftover lox from my bagel and lox frenzy over the weekend. And there on my counter were some leftover tortilla chips from yesterday's burrito. I scarfed the lox, shoveling it into my mouth like someone who hadn't eaten for days. Then I ate the rest of my tortilla chips. I washed it all down with a cup of coffee. Class went well. Have you ever had to "improvise" to get some food into you before heading off to work? What's the most absurd breakfast you can think of? (The image is from the other morning--yum!)

Now let's see that would be when I still lived in the states. Very often I would have Chinese and then in the morning I would be walking around with one hand holding onto a spare rib and with the other gathering things that I needed for the day.

A slice of Christmas cake and a cup of tea. For me, that would be a very absurd breakfast.

Absurd? Depends on your perspective. I love leftover pizza or spaghetti for breakfast. I plan to cook some rice today so that we can grab some for breakfast in the morning. I plan to cook some dried cranberries and sunflower seeds in with it and of course cinnamon and maybe a couple of dates for sugar.

@TheHorse Get right over here, please. You are more than welcome to tromp down through the ice crusted snow and feed Peter burro. He'd love to meet you.

@sallypup sounds yummy. I make a nice breakfast with quinoa simmered in almond milk, add some cardamom, cinnamon, and whatever. Cranberries would be nice there too.

@Platespinner that was a challenging morning. I think we had tried almost everything. Ice cream finally captured his interest. I think he ate normal food the rest of that day. The ice cream was the memorable food.

Yes, I would have to agree with @TheInvisibleMan, beans or chili for breakfast would be the most absurd breakfast. Some times if I'm ambitious and have time I'll make chili omelettes!!

@STOUTjodee I forgot that I DID eat left over canned beans (from a salad I'd made) the other morning. I just wolfed them down right out of the can.

@TheHorse Yes, with coffee or hot tea, it really is good in the morning. It is almost like eating a pastry or doughnut.

Since I am very limited as to what my stomach can tolerate - I don't consider anything i eat silly. Dinner on the other hand I have eaten two hard boiled eggs and a can of beets.

I rarely eat breakfast except when we travel. The most absurd, to me at least, was a full Irish breakfast in Ireland. It had all the goodies like eggs, bacon, sausage and toast and rolls, but came with baked beans, haggis, and black pudding, better known as blood pudding. In Turkey, we ate cucumbers and olives for breakfast. China we had congee, a milky rice.

The milky rice sounds pretty good. Actually, so does cucumbers and olives, as long as there's a dressing of some kind.

My commute is usually quite long, so sometimes I eat mini wheats as I drive. Then drink a travel mug of milk. I have been thinking of getting myself a big bib for the car. lol

I wake up hungry, so breakfast is important to me. I seldom do anything more exciting than cold cereal with muesli (I make) and plain yogurt. I guess the silliest I have had is cold pizza.

Picture looks yummy. I cook for oir family so for every left over we have i ned to be inventive if there is such a word. My dad bought rhis marinated beef that u can just fry and its ready to eat about a kilo of it. And the meat is so hard that none od them eat it. Instead of it going to waste. What i did is i chopped the meat and boiled it and i added chopped veggies then some saucesoy and butter. And it went out well and we were able to eat it.
