The photo contest is for people who under 29 years old only

Since lately I bought a Nikon ADSL. I took some nice photos in my opinion and I am interested in joining its photo contest https://ssl-entry.nikon-photocontest.com/en/top-02.html But when I checked more information about it, I found that it is for people who is under 29 years old only. This is very disappointing because I don't think it is reasonable. Now perhaps I shall hand in my camera to my son and hope he will take more good photos so that he can join it for me

@celticeagle There are many flowers here. Since it will not snow here, so it is quite different from the north places.

The reason that makes sense to me as to the age is because the world is so much more different from 29 and 30. 30 is a new decade. 30 has more dependent adults with families where as people under 29 are more adventurous in a sense, in school still, are not closed off. Not to say 30 and up are. It is just two different worlds. There are so many photo competitions that are open for all age groups. Just have to find the right ones.

Even the title made me angry It is ageist...why the hell is there an age limit like this in a photo competition I could understand an under 18 limit but under 29...that pisses me off

You are right. It just doesn't make a sense. I think they won't want customers who are over 29 years old
