My Magic Lamp...Well Pot that is!

I finally purchased a Neti Pot. It was on sale for $11.99, which was a savings of $2. A Neti Pot uses warm water to flush out your sinus cavities. I was a little hesitant to use it at first. But, once I got the correct position of my head, the water flowed from into nostril and out the other. My sinuses were soothed. I got a better night of rest too. If you have never tried one of these, I highly recommend you do.

I have never tried one. When I am sick enough that I would need one I am too weak to hold one up. LOL

I don't plan on using it every day. There are 50 packets of sinus rinse that came with the package. I am only going to use it when exposed to excessive allergens.

@ElusiveButterfly That's very wise. My son had a horrible cold, and it helped him breathe much better.

I've heard about that process, not using a neti pot, and I tried it once, and the results were not the best. I'm glad it worked for you.

It did work well for me. I won't need to use it tonight. But, when I am exposed to allergens I will use it more.

I have one of those. I use it when my allergies are driving me crazy. I really wish I could get my 7-year-old to use it but he panics when we try. It does help unclog the sinus area.

Have you had him hold the pot on his own? Sometimes if you hand them the reigns they are okay. I did this when trying to get my kids to take medicine. I gave up and handed them the medicine spoon.

I have never heard of a Neti Pot but if it enables you to have a good nights sleep it will be a blessing.

The water flushing clears the residue from your sinus cavity. It helps me to sleep when I can breathe better.

@41CombedaleRoad my husband bought me a nasal spray, but it was scented and I didn't care for that. I will have to look for unscented saline spray.

Every time I have tried to send something into my nostrils I have been sick. My husband uses salt water to clean his nose.

I had heard of this item for years, but the thought of using one weirded me out. Once I tried it, it did feel odd, but I will use it again.

It was a weird feeling at first to have the water flow through your sinuses. However, it was very soothing.

I have a Netipot and it does help with stuffed sinuses. It does feel funny as the water runs through the sinuses but it works!

I am doing it again tonight and hopefully I won't have to stop several times. The feeling of water running through your sinuses is weird.

I'm sure I would mess it up and inhale all that water. My daughter has one and uses it often.
