Don't be insulted, but...go fly a kite!

Today, February 8th is - Kite Flying Day - so I say to you, go fly a kite! When I was a kid, back in the dark ages, kids did fly kites. I did and all my friends did also. My uncle made box kites and some of them he let his daughter and I fly. Box kits are the harder to fly than the regular kites we played with. A few years ago my husband and I bought a kite and took it to the top of our properties - pretty high up and always windy. We found out that too much wind doesn't make kite flying easy - it makes it impossible! So, if you have the right amount of wind and you own a kite, get outside and enjoy the day! Today is Kite Flying Day, a great time to go fly a kite.

It is raining and there is not a hint of the wind, to make a kite fly I should blow.

@AbbyGreenhill On Monday there was a nice breeze and the sky was blue. Today everything has the same color, grey.

I haven't flown a kite in ages. Probably because I had nothing but bad luck with kites haha! I hope people have a good kite day haha!

We flew kites with the kids for a while. And you're right. It's possible to have too much wind.

Next month will be a excellent time to get a kite. We have in the past few years. Fun and great exercise too. We have a nice park just down the way from us that is a great place to run with a kite.

We flew some homemade kites when I was little, but they weren't very good. We had a bit of fun though.

I can remember flying kites with my best friend in the winter. It made things more difficult when you had mittens on

@AbbyGreenhill It wasn't the easiest thing to do but in March the wind really howls here was a great time to fly a kite, you didn't even need to run just let it go and up it went.

Kite flying brings back so many memories. Here in india, we fly kites on the 15th of August.. That's our independence day. The wind is perfect for flying kites during those months over here. We even have kite flying wars.. Have u ever participated in such a war?
