Lost My Keys, Yesterday

When the school office opens I will have to check there. I got ready to go home last night and could not find my keys. They were not in my pockets, any of them. They were not in the room anywhere. They were not in any of the restrooms. They were not in my purse. They were not in my lunch bag. Luckily, we have extra keys and hubby was home and came to get me. The search will resume in an hour. When I am back at work.

Kid or custodian. I am thinking I put them on a hook in a toilet stall while I did my business and they were found and turned into the office.

@Jessicalynnt There was nothing on the keyring that would do anyone any good. Might as well turn them in. The kids here are pretty good. One fifth grader found a bank card a teacher had dropped in the bathroom.. She turned it in to me.

All I had on that lanyard was my car and trunk key and one other car key. My house key and other things were separate.

@celticeagle They had been turned in to the school office. The did not have my name on them or they would probably have been brought to me.

My husband often loses things. He had lost the keys for at least four times already. Each time we looked for it everywhere for him. And finally we found his keys and he was glad. Then after some time he lost them again One day my husband should learn a good lesson so that he will not lose things any more

For me, to not misplace keys I have to have a routine place to put them, and never vary it.

They were turned in to the school office. It was already closed when I knew they were missing.

This is so annoying. I hope they turn up. I usually get myself into trouble because I ask Vince 'where did you have them last' to which his stock answer is 'if I knew that I wouldn't be looking for them'. But I just wonder - where do you think you had them last?

@JudyEv If I change my routine, I am in trouble. I had just taken them and put them on a lanyard. They had been on a large ring with many others before this.

I am suspecting I hung them on a hook in a toilet stall and forgot them. They were turned in to the office.

They were turned in at the school office. I never take all my keys in for fear of losing them.

I hope you find it soon. It is a bit dangerous too to misplace keys because you'll never know who. Might have it. When my dad lost his keys we automatically change the door knob even though we have spared keys.

This did not have my house keys or any identifying information on them. Good idea on the house key, though if you lose them, change them.
