News at the pool this morning is about the state deciding on getting rid of Daylight Savings Time.
I know the talk everywhere twice a year is about how disruptive changing the clocks is and how long it takes to get used to the new time.
Two lawmakers in the state's capital are talking about doing just that. So it will be interesting to see if we keep Standard Time. The clock is set to change on March 12, so we'll see if it does or not.
What do you think about Daylight Savings time? Are you for it or against? Thanks for reading.

It's going to be interesting to find out how many states are going to get rid of daylight savings time.

I don't see any purpose in changing the clocks and it's just a big inconvenience I think

It is inconvenient. I need to look at the automatic devices like the computer or my phone to see what time it is in order to manually change all the other clocks in the house. There was a time a few years ago that I thought I had all the clocks set correctly, and I was just taking my time before leaving for church, thinking I had at least an hour. I happened to see the time on the television and rushed out the door. I had set the clocks the wrong way. I was late. I only missed the first song, so that wasn't too bad.

Interesting to see what they decide to do. I don't mind one way or the other really. But, it would be nice to have just one time and not have to switch twice a year.

I never gave it a thought until everybody started talking about it a couple years ago. I do find it hard to get reoriented to the new time for several weeks after the change.

It can be quite a nuisance this clock going backwards and forwards. Mty niece who has settled in the US since the last so many years got trapped. I was holidaying with her and we were in Canada. She took me for a show which was to start at 10 am but when we landed there everything was closed. It was 9 am. - it was the saving time for Canada

Yes it was so they could get more done in the fields. It really isn't necessary anymore.

I would love the time to stay the same year round, doesn't make sense to me to change it twice a year.

Oh wow, I hope we keep daylight savings, myself. It's another hour of daylight, or, well, so it seems anyway...

It doesn't matter to me either way, though it would be nice not having to remember which way to turn the clock for a change.

We would have the same amount of time, just the difference between when daylight starts would be different.
