Mom, Mom!! Get Up!

At 1:30 this morning Princess was running circles, up my bed and body, jumping to the dresser, pawing at the curtains. She did that two or three times before I got her to calm down. Evidently someone or something was on the driveway next to the bedroom. And Princess wanted to SEE! I would not get up or let her out.

How strange, maybe she sensed something else besides an actual physical person..wow Glad you did not get up Heather.

It could be another cat, a possum, a raccoon, a deer or just about any critter.

So Princess is a watch cat, how kool. Don't you worry when someone is in that driveway? I live in a rural area so there are no driveways anywhere near my mobile home.

Our driveways are so full of cars no one can drive into them. It would have to be anything from a cat, dog, snake, squirrel, raccoon, fox, coyote, possum, . . .you get the picture.

@rebelann Not that I have noticed. Only people usually in the yard are meter readers, and UPS or FedEx with stuff for hubby.

Yeah, cats love to hide n watch @GardenGerty especially when they know they're safe. Does she do the same thing if it's a person?

Somebody or something she wanted to see or for you to see. I would have got up I think but would have just peeped through the Curtains first too see if anything was going on.

I am reasonably certain it was another animal. I do not worry about them.

Chances are very good it was another animal and that I could not see it in the dark.

@GardenGerty Whenever Preiti gives out a particular bark we get alert - it could be a reptile.

Nothing much here a burglar would want to burgle. As long as he stays outside I am okay with it.

You know, if I did not need to go to work in the morning, I would consider traipsing around with her in the middle of the night.

Last night I had 2 jealous cats chasing each other on and off of the bed. Two of them in particular like to curl up with me to sleep but they like to be the only one, no sharing.

She made sure I knew she needed something, or at least some company.

Sounds like our cat Sid when he gets excited about something. Usually if that happens in the early hours I let him out into the garden and sleep for about an hour more. Then when he comes in he has calmed down.

Most nights find her sleeping at our feet, or in the bathroom sink.
