Lost at Gnomesville

I've written long and often about Gnomesville near Donnybrook in Western Australia and if you search for 'Gnomesville' here you'll be able to read more about it. We took our Taiwanese visitors to see it. Visitors always marvel and the thousands of gnomes spread along the side of the road. It's hard to get a good overall photo of it so this time I've just picked a small group of gnomes with an amusing sign. I think there was a bike race from Donnybrook to Wellington Mills (close to Gnomesville) and the sign at the bottom reads 'You came, you saw and you got completely lost'. Sounds like me sometimes.

I always enjoy looking at pictures and reading about Gnomesville when you do a discussion. It is such a fascinating spot. What did you think Taiwanese think of it?

They were very intrigued. Claire had been before but her mother didn't know what to say for a while.

@Happy2BeMe I wondered what you meant - 'the money' must be in awe but of course you meant mother. She loved the bush and was always patting or stroking the trees. :)

Isn't "The Amazing Race" A t.v. show? Hmm... I think I would love to peruse through Gnomesville myself. How did the Taiwanese react to it?

It wouldn't have been the 'real' Amazing Race but I'm sure whoever was involved had a great time.

@JudyEv I hope they did, at the very least. I'm sure they were amused by all the gnomes if nothing else. Are these all handmade and hand painted Gnomes?

If you put them in your garden @Jessicalynnt get a few different sizes. I makes the garden more interesting.

Your ears must have been ringing yesterday because we were discussing visitors as yours staying over in SA homes. I have a bowling friend we has taken in two traveling lady students for two months which allows her to take two months away from her home to visit her daughter in Holland. I was telling her all about the Australian couches sleepers

It is always interesting to see their first reaction. You are driving along, go round a roundabout and suddenly the gnomes are everywhere.

Mostly I'm not too bad. I'm good out in the open or in the bush, not so good in towns.

I didn't read the word "got," and thought it was "you completely lost." Which is funny in bike racing terms.

Not too far away, on a small farm, the couple have a bike repair business and are right into mountain-bike racing. It was possibly something they organised. We don't actually have mountains here, not in your terms anyway.
