I spent most of my day here at mylot yesterday

While my son did his online classes I sat next to him and helped when needed. My tablet is with me to entertain me instead of just sitting there and being bored to tears. Some of the stuff he learns is really interesting like history but something's like telling time etc are not for me.
I did not write any posts yesterday as I just had nothing new to say. I decided to go through the most recent posts and read and comment on them. I wrote down each name so I made sure to only do one of that person's posts so I could get to more people.
I had such a fun time doing it that I spent all my free to email doing that yesterday. By about 9 pm my neck was stiff and I lay down and read a book.
I logged in today he saw that I earned 77 cents yesterday. That is the most I have earned in one day since I came back to mylot once they started paying again.
I had commented on 85 different mylotters posts. I would say 1/4 of them replied to my comment. And only 9 viewed my posts and left me a comment. People get busy and chose what they want to comment on so I am not feeling slighted I just thought it was interesting to keep track for once.
So instead of thinking you have to write posts all the time to earn you can see that you don't. Everything I earned yesterday was just do to me interacting on others posts!

Well I have known it for along time it was just interesting to write it down and see the facts spelled out. I have a weird thing with writing things down like this ha ha. I constantly have paper around as there is always something I feel I have to write down.

Yes! You totally don't have to make discussions to earn! There are some days I just want to comment on others. :)

@shaggin It all depends. Some days I feel like I didn't do much and the earnings went beyond fast!

There is no way I could do it daily as I just do not have that much time. It was fun doing it yesterday though. I learned something cool today already from a post by @Arpita1996 it is a mirror day.

@shaggin Never knew that. I guess we learn something new every day. I earn at the most daily lately 40 to 50 a day but yesterday was not a good day for me I think I only earned 30 cents if that.

99% of the time I respond/comment to other people.
I rarely write my own discussions and when I do I only leave them up for a while.
I don't really like it when I respond to someone and very quickly get a response from them on one of my discussions...so I started removing all my discussions
I respond to what interests me and I absolutely don't expect a response back from someone just because I responded to them.
I'd appreciate a comment back from them on their discussion though!!

I recall you and another person on here not liking when you leave comments on a post and the author of the post responds and immediately goes to your posts and comments. I like to do that as there are people here who if I did not do this I would never catch any of their posts in the most recent discussions as we are active at different times. I have noticed you write and then when I have gone back those posts were gone.

@Mike197602 I used to use the follows list but then sticking to those I found that so rarely interacted with anyone new. I like to try to read all different things even with newbies so I don't stick to just the ones I am following anymore and have pretty much stopped following people at all.

@shaggin I don't like it because there is often an expectation of me returning the favour and I won't be doing that anytime soon
I only respond to things I'm interested in no matter who writes them or if they've responded to my discussions or not.
If you like the response you get from a person and you're interested in them just follow them and go to follows first instead of most recent.
I go to the discussions of those I follow every time I'm here and scroll back to the last discussion on the list that I remember.
Often I find some stuff that interests me but sometimes I don't so go to most recent
The follows discussions list cuts out everything except the discussions of those that you follow so the time differences don't apply.
Sticking to most recent, unless you scroll back to when you were last here, you will miss the discussions of friends.

Interaction is important as well as posting - otherwise what would be there to interact with? And you are right, you can earn without posting hundreds of discussions a day -- when you interact. My average is between one and two posts a day-- and I have already gone past the $5 needed for cash out next month.

I enjoy reading your posts and I think one of two a day is a good amount. I am at $6.32 today so I have made payout for this month already. I was hoping to get to $10 but since it is a shorter month I'm might have to try next month instead. We will see.

That is true, many think you have to write posts to earn, but many do not read the guidelines of how you earn on Mylot either.

Most of my activity here at myLot is engaging in discussions. The discussions I generate myself are random thoughts. Something pops in my head. First I decide if I can turn it into a blog post. If I can at least come up with a complete thought I usually type it up and share here at myLot. But you could actually earn and never write your own posts. That's what I like about this site. That and the fact that people actually talk to me.

I knew I that which is why I read others posts and comment on them when I cannot think of anything of my own to post.

Yes it is! The 20th I made the most yet and that was 89 cents. I need to cut back on mylot though and finish a book I have been on for two weeks. My goal was to read one book each week and my addiction to mylot has got me behind on my reading goal. I need more hours in a day.

There are days when I do that too because I simply can not think of anything to write about. I make just as much by interacting and commenting on other people's post as I do when I start a discussion. You have a great day yesterday. That is good earnings for a day on interacting.
