This is the last week of winter sales in my country. I always make a list of the items that I need for every season and buy most of those items when they are on sale.
There are even better discounts at the end of the season, this week I managed to get a very nice frame for my Maid of Honor photos with a 50% discount. I also need a new pair of training shoes and a set of gym clothes. I am trying to plan ahead and get the items with discounted price instead of paying them in full price later.
Do you take advantage of the main season sales to buy products that you need?

Yes you are so right about fake sales. There is a shoe store in my neighborhood that puts higher prices on the "initial price" tag and then adds the discount to bring the price to the same amount that it used to be before the sales. We can never be sure but I try to be careful.

@LadyDuck It's not easy to notice the fake prices, especially when we see so many products each day. I take pictures most of the times when I like something during window shopping. It is a good practice to take notes too. Do you confront them when you see fake prices or you just never buy from them again?

Yes, if only I have the chance to visit sales or promos I will always be there. I know the price is lower and sometimes you can pick a good item which is more quality than those being sold in higher prices in department stores.

Yes, I do like to save money. A discount means I can buy more of the items on my list that I'm seeking and the good discounts helped me get new clothes after losing weight. A lot of them were free with my sweepstakes wins.

@besweet I had donated all my smaller clothes, so holding on my clothes would have been a challenge. My husband suggested suspenders and that would have been quite a sight walking up and down the streets. Maybe it would have started a new trend. My shirts could just wear ones to big; however, noticed when buying some smaller ones that the clothes that were to big made me look big. I couldn't believe there was a difference and in the hot seasons like to wear big shirts, so keeping them. Last year we were over 90 degrees in November and smaller shirts have to be changed often.

@Fishmomma If the change in sizes was big, then you did well to buy new clothes. You should be able to see your figure in the right size as you are achieving your goal. I had kept my clothes in the storage when I lost the weight so I started wearing clothes from the old closet. T shirts are not expensive so they can be changed regularly. I think that trousers and underwear are the ones that cost more but the change is more obvious when we wear the right size.

That sounds nice! Well done for the weight loss!
When I am going through changes in diet, I avoid buying new clothes until I have a steady weight.
I have a friend who used to buy one size smaller with the prospect of losing weight and she had to give them away eventually.

@besweet Yes I shop all the time! Sometimes end of the year deals or Presidents' Day or holiday aren't even better deals than regular days.
It all depends :)
