Relaxing Day

It's been a nice quiet day today. I overslept, so missed the pool, but should be back there tomorrow. It might have something to do with the treatment I got yesterday at the chiropractor. I did get some necessary shopping done. I needed water, just about out. I'm going through a case of water a week. The case I picked up this morning had 32 bottles instead of the usual 28. With as much water as I drink, it will still only last a week. I also kept my feet up watching Netflix. I did see the weather report and the good news is that with the record high we received today of 63 F, we're getting snow on Friday. Temps start plummeting tomorrow and we're expecting 5.5 inches of snow. Hard to believe with as warm as it's been the past few days. We'll see what we really get. I did expect to be here the rest of the day, but my feet are once again at max swollen state, so I'm going to put my feet up and try to get back here tomorrow. I'm a few days behind, but I will catch up. I hope you are all doing well. Thanks for reading. Picture shows how swollen my feet are.

Wow, your feet are quite swollen. Hope they come down once you put them up - which is a bit of a contradiction, isn't it?

@just4him Do you put your feet onto pillows when you sleep or when they begin to swell, Valerie? I only began to do that when not only my ankle swelled after surgery but also my toes and portions of my feet. It was then I realized I needed them much higher than I'd done before. My toes and feet were only swollen on two different days and today seems to be the first day that my ankles have yet to swell up even though I'm on the computer at my desk.

@MarshaMusselman I've tried that, but it was too uncomfortable for me. The recliner works well for keeping the swelling down. I'm seeing much improvement since I've started seeing the chiropractor. Not as much swelling.

Yes it is, but I know what you mean. The swelling hasn't gone down, not even when I sleep. I had to find a pair of shoes, hiking boots, to smash my feet into so I could do laundry. I haven't been swimming because I couldn't get my shoes on.

I'm doing that as much as I can. I had to do laundry today and had to find a different pair of shoes as I couldn't get them on. Right now my feet are not swollen, but probably because they were smashed into the boot shoes I was wearing.

@just4him .....Oh, dear. I wonder if its the meds or something you've eaten or what. I hope you figure it out and can get past this. I know how much you enjoy going to the pool.

They've been swollen for a few days and had to find an alternate pair of shoes to wear to do laundry. I haven't been swimming because I haven't been able to get my shoes on.

All I noticed at first was how nice your toenails look. I do see they are swollen and mine have been that way a little bit recently. I put them above my heart and that does the trick usually. My nails are misshapen and I may need them removed, but I'm not sure yet what I'll do about them or when.

@just4him It can be that's part of the reason I put it off. There's no guarantee that they will grow back correctly anyway, so I'm not sure whether it's worth it. I'm trying an essential oil regimin my sister is making up for me and see whether that will cure them.

I'm glad to say my feet are no longer swollen. I don't remember if I went to the pool or not the next day, as this was over a year ago.

Whenever it happens to me, I elevate my feet and it will not be swolen again. Mine has something to do with too much water intake. Get well.

@just4him Does sodium will make your feet swollen as well?

We got a water filter and fill up all our water bottles with that water. A lot cheaper that way. I hope you can go swimming tomorrow.
