I must be slipping! Today marks one of the most happy days in our lives. Today marks one year ago that our younger son proposed to his beautiful and bright girlfriend. We were so excited over that, and now, one seemingly fast year later, we are looking forward to their wedding in October. Our life is filled with such joy and happiness. I'm not complaining about one single thing.

@DianneN Good reason! My engagement was 4 days so.... Haha. But I had a church wedding, white dress and reception at home with all the trimmings. My mom was a miracle worker and I swear my mother in law never quite believed my mom put a wedding together between Thursday and Sunday but she did and a triple tier wedding cake to boot. I'll have to post a photo, our anniversary is March 9

I'm happy for son and girlfriend. Meeting people, even new friends these days seems hard. So when people find their true love - it indeed is very special. I still "celebrate" my anniversary of engagement. It fell through,and I'm happy for that because he wasn't right. But still I treat myself on that date... if I don't do it who will?

You are better off finding out he wasn't for you before rather than later. I'd choose a different date to treat yourself. Being so pretty and smart, I'm sure you'll find true love when you least expect it.
