Sold my first pussycat hat
It’s been a busy week with one thing or another so I guess I will have plenty to write bore you with.
My Etsy is busy which is always good, YAY. Yesterday, Sunday I sold my first Pussycat hat, which went to Manchester here in the UK. I hope to sell more of them only time will tell. They are easy and fun to make, which is good. It no good spending hours and hours on things, people don’t like to pay too much for things. I have found small items which can be made quickly seems to work the best.

@kevin1877uk nice! How do you come up with the prices of your products? What sort of mark up do you have? I guess I want to find out how you put a price on the actual effort and time you put into making your products.

@allen0187 that is always a hard one to do, the cost of yarn, time to take to made, then have a look around at what other people are selling at. Sometimes I have an idea of what I should sell items for sometimes I've not got a clue. Many people won't buy high price items. you can always play around with the prices until you hit the right price.
I have a section were I've reduced prices to sell items, some have sold so maybe I need to relook at those items which haven't.
Pricing is a hard one at the best of times.

This is cute and glad you sold one. I have seen several people wearing a hat that looks like this one. I like Etsy and there are so many home made items.

It does seem like the smaller items are the ones that sell quicker. I've thought about making a few hats for my IPlayWithYarn shop at Etsy. I have a few items there now.
