Would you hug a random stranger on the street?

March 2, 2017 12:12pm CST
Someone is holding a sign with the words: "Free Hugs" and he/she asks you a hug... What would you do? This is a campaign known as the "Hug Campaign" that aims to spread love between strangers and promote the reduction of stress from day to day because according to science, the hug does very well (especially if it's from well intentioned people / who like you).

Guess it would depend on who was holding the sign

Ditto, Marilyn! I believe hugs can produce a feeling of well being, but I wonder if it only works with people who know each other. Not sure about with strangers, although I'm a hugger with most people unless it's clear they don't want to be hugged.

I read about clubs that offer that service somewhere in the U.S.

Chinese are shy. I am not comfortable to hug with a stranger. It is nothing offensive, I just don't get used to it

I have seen the "free hug"campaing in my city once. I was running for work and didn't get a hug but then I thought it would be a good idea to have done it! Yes I would hug a stranger but I haven't done it yet!

Yes! I would say come and hug me. But but but if he is a boy then I will never hug.

I have never seen a sign like that. But if I saw one? Would I or wouldn't I? I don't know!

I don't like hugs from strangers and I don't want to hug a stranger for no serious reason. I only hug those close to me. I even hate church members who hug and kiss during hand shaking as greeting to one another

It depends on the massege I suppose. If it's only for spreading love between strangers then I'd pass. If it's to bring minorities and people of different religions closer together and to fight against hate, then I'd probably participate.

I was going to automatically say yes, but I guess that I would have to decide on what vibes the person was giving. I do actually like the idea!!

I suppose it's a nice idea, but I wouldn't be keen on it myself.

I think this is not good .If anybody like or love anybody he or she hug and opposite also don't oppose. But in the case of strangers I don't agree. This will not good for a healthy society and civilization.
