I am so ready, but he is not

I have sweet and sour meatballs and fried rice ready to eat. Hubby is out working on cars, though.
I understand, we are supposed to have a cold front and rain starting tomorrow and lasting a few days. He wants to get some outdoor stuff taken care of before we do.
If I get too hungry I will go ahead and eat, but he hates to eat alone.

That sounds so good. I hope he gets things done soon so you can enjoy your meal together.

I am the same way. I may eat a simpler meal if I know I will be alone, though.

@GardenGerty I do that myself also. But I don't mind. Look, the stomach does not care who is around when we get hungry.

Due to his schedule, my husband always eats alone, and he has no problem with it!

I would not mind it.I understand that even his teens my husband found meals to be his time to connect and be social.

@katsmeow1213 Mine is a bit hard of hearing, so that affects it as well. He says he just likes being able to look at me.

@GardenGerty well there's nothing wrong with that, and I'm glad you wait for him. My husband cannot socialize and eat at the same time. Even when we go out to eat, he focuses on the food and conversation is non-existent

Same here, I am starving and I have dinner cooked. If Tony don`t wake up soon I will eat mine and talk to him while he eats later.

It is important, if you have meds that need food to be sure and get your meal. I do. If I wait too late those meds wake me up all night.

He had finally gotten the brake lines for his newest project and wanted to get it done.

I do not know what decision you took finally but if you are prone to acidity you would have perhaps chosen to eat alone.

I dished up my food, and he finally came in and cleaned up to eat as well.

I have a med I cannot take without food. By the time I got mine served up he came in and washed.

I ate some mixed nuts. I have carrots to take to work with my meal today, I had forgotten.

@GardenGerty I keep carrots and celery, because those things have so few calories that I do not feel guilty eating them.

It worked out. I served mine and by that time he was indoors and washing the grease off his hands. Successful with replacing a brake line.
