@amadeo Thanks. It is a shame that I didn't think about it earlier, I had some very interesting trips in my student years! It's never too late to start collecting. I would like to bring a representative canvas painting from each city that I visit, not the expensive ones, but something beautiful to hang on my walls and remember of all the nice destinations.

I don't collect anything anymore. Just a little of this or that if I happen to see something artsy

That is a lovely collection. Here in Florida I don't have any collections but I may start a few after a while.

You have a beautiful collection and neatly arranged. My valuables are at home displayed in lighted curio cabinets and throughout the home. We have collected antique silver for years, and most is stored in custom cabinets in our dining room. We have found lots of good things on our travels around the world.

I don't think collecting is quite the same as hoarding, personally.

And a very nice collection it is too. I use to collect things but after a while they don't mean that much to me. Glad that your passion is still alive and well.

when you buy textile to collect, is it because of the color? design? the feel of the fabric?

I stopped collecting when I figured out I had enough! I have about 20 glass insulators, I collected antique rolling pins and antique egg beaters. Also old door knobs, preferably glass.
