Disney Day for the Grandkids

As I mentioned in my post a few days ago, one of our daughters is visiting from Delaware with her husband and two toddlers, ages 1 and 3. It has been crazy at our house, because this means our local daughter and her two teens have been with us every day after school, as well.
We have spent a couple of days at the beach and doing other local things.
Today, however, they went to Disneyland (which is about 20 minutes from our home).
This has been a much needed chance for my husband and I to wash towels, catch up laundry, pick up a few groceries and relax.
My computer hasn't been on for the past couple of days. I have answered emails, posted to Facebook and even handled a few notifications on MyLot from my phone. However, today I am trying to use this break to actually get things caught up, again.
Tomorrow, I'm going with my two daughters to get pedicures. Saturday, we'll be babysitting the little ones while my daughter and her husband go to the wedding of her college roommate. Sunday we are celebrating the upcoming birthdays of both of our daughters.
Our Delaware daughter and her family leave Monday night, but a week later we are going to the Napa Valley to celebrate the birthday of our daughter who lives there.
I'll be here when I can, but things are hectic for us right now!

@DeborahDiane ~I never had children, but my second wife had three older children. I got to be a "Grandpa". It was fun when they were little. Three of the grandchildren lived near us and we kept them every other weekend when they were really young. I really enjoyed those times.

@DeborahDiane ~While I did enjoy keeping my young grandchildren over the weekend twice a month (two at first and then three) I was ready to see them leave. Children that age are exhausting. I've always know that I wasn't good parential material.

@DeborahDiane It really is a ways. Disney World is the closer one, but even then, it's definitely a long way from us. Hopefully, we can save for it.

@dodo19 - We are lucky that we live so close. It is a long way from Quebec to any of the Disney theme parks.

Busy but fun family days! But good you could relax today . . . going to Disneyland they will all be wiped out by the time they get back, so you may have a relaxing evening as well

@DeborahDiane It's been hot too! We went in between all the cold weather - and it was pretty warm then, so I can only imagine how it is now. But I'm sure they had a great time there!

@much2say - They didn't come home until after midnight last night. I could not believe they were up so late with a 1 year old and a 3 year old!! They had a great time.

@DeborahDiane take your time. I have a hot date with my sewing machine later today. I can listen to a book while I sew, but I cannot Mylot while sewing.....but my sewing can become something to Mylot about.
