Up on the roof top

Pulled 5 baby babies off the roof of the catio and took them to the shelter.
Austin is "no kill" so they will go to someone to bottle feed.
Didn't want to leave them there for fear of possums, the neighborhood hawk, and a fall off said roof when they got a bit more mobile.
We are a bit concerned about the smallest, but he has a better chance off the roof than on, and with an experienced bottle baby mom than us.
Need to talk to the lady next door to catch the adult feral cats and fix the lot of them. We DON'T need more feral cats!

Well, it's still rather odd that a kitty would have her litter in the open like that, most of the ones I've known of in the past usually found a secluded hole somewhere @ElicBxn we never knew there were kittens around until they were almost weaned and became curious.

@rebelann they were under the eaves of the main roof, on top of the catio roof that was added later. I only knew they were there because they were hollering on Thursday when I was trying to catch Kismet to take to the vet. It took until this morning for our young man to come and find them. Mom did a good job of hiding them, I wouldn't have known they were up there if I hadn't gone outside to catch Kis.

That sounds like your good deed for the day, or even the month. I hope they have good luck raising them.

Yep, trap neuter and release is the best thing you can do for them many times. It has worked like a gem for my friend, and in this county...it is widely practiced. Our humane society which I am proud to be a part of, does excellent work.

That is unusual that the mother would have selected the patio roof to leave the kittens @ElicBxn .

here in my neighborhood, sleep is usually interrupted when cats 'romance' at night, with many meows from dusk till dawn. that is why there are many stray cats around
