Not what I was expecting!

I just read a post by @JudyEv and that brought to mind an event from long ago. I was a 20-year-old student and living in a flat shared with two friends. Across the road was a petrol station and convenience store. One ordinary day we found we had run out of bread so I volunteered to pop across the road and get some more. As I was walking across the forecourt to the shop an unknown man stopped me and asked if I was interested in bondage. “I could truss you up like a chicken” he 'gallantly' offered! I politely declined and went into the shop for the bread. When I got back of course my friends thought this was hilarious – trust me to go out for the most mundane thing and be offered more than I bargained for! I have absolutely no idea what it was about me that prompted this man to make such an offer – or perhaps he tried it on everyone he met? All rights reserved. © Text and image copyright Fleur 2017.
I have an Ebay account. My husband does not. He has used my account extensively lately to buy stuff for the caravan. The last purchase involved buying some...

If someone approached a stranger with a line like that in this day and age....all sorts of warning bells would be ringing.

I expect there are still plenty of odd people around - just they don't bother to approach me any more now I'm older LOL

That is really strange. Fancy saying this to someone you don't even know! I must have grown up under a rock. Nothing like this ever happened to me. Thanks for the mention and link too. :)

I've met some pretty odd people in my time, I don't know whether that's normal or whether they single me out!

@Fleura Haha. Do you think the oddballs gravitate to you? There could be worse things to attract. At least you'd have lots of stories to tell!

That was a weird question, but at least he was honest.

Who knows? There are some strange people out there. Maybe it would make a good beginning for someone to write a story!

@Fleura oh it definitely would make a great jumping off point for a story! Much better than thinking about it being a real life happening.

Always always Be on guard. A lot of people who can't do nothing can really harm us. And always pray for safety wherever you go. Start your day with a prayer. God bless.

Not your average polite interaction with strangers is it?

Hmm. If someone said, "Why yes, but I'm busy right now," would the exchange numbers? I'm not sure of proper social protocol in this situation. Love your chicken!

Maybe you're right, if he asked enough people he might get his invitation accepted eventually!
