Pumpkin's Positive Post: We get to spend a day with all four of our girls!

I've finally had a response from youngest daughter (T). Her mum gave me her mobile number as she never responds on messenger and we didn't have a number to call her. We're planning to go to eldest daughter's (C) wedding in August. Still trying to find somewhere to stay but we will do, even if it means going down there for longer than D wants to! As the wedding is on a Saturday, and C is busy on the Friday, I've arranged to spend the Thursday with her and her babies. I asked T if she wanted to join us or plan a different day. She said that sounds wonderful and she'll join us all if she's not working. So now, T needs to check that she's not working, and we need to sort out accommodation. This is proving rather tricky but, as I've said to D, we'll sleep in the car if we have to. I'm also happy because I had a tax refund which will go a long way to paying for somewhere to stay (it would have covered where we wanted but that was fully booked). I am getting rather excited about it. We haven't seen C or T for two years. We haven't seen Baby 1 for two years either (and we didn't get baby cuddles then), and we've not met Baby 2. So D has never held his grandchildren. I will be making sure he does, and I'll be taking my camera to get lots of pictures. Of course, we'll have the two boys with us as well. The boys have never met C or the babies so it will be nice to have all of our children and grandchildren together (although it might be a little tiring for D, which is why it's probably a good thing that he'll have a rest day between that and the wedding).
