April the Giraffe Conspiracy Theories

April the giraffe is expecting a new baby. She was first due in February and then the date was unknown. Since then, there have been a lot of conspiracy theories. 1. It is an April fool's joke. There was no pregnancy and this was just an old video of a pregnant giraffe. I guess we will find out April 1. 2. The baby has already been born and they are running a video loop to raise money for the zoo. I don't believe this one at all. 3. Giraffes lay eggs. Some people actually believe this but most are just making it fun for their kids. 4. The birth is a distraction for an alien takeover of earth. Maybe the giraffes use the ossicones (horns) on their heads to call the home planet. 5. This is a social experiment to see how long people will lose sleep looking at a giraffe's rear end. How are we doing folks? Are you still looking? Image-Free Clip Art by Adobe.

I love the theories of @Asylum and I agree that the Russian are behind the conspiracy.

It seemed the most logical explanation.

@LadyDuck I cannot see any other explanation.

@Asylum Yes, it makes sense.

It seems quite obvious to me that the baby giraffe was born during the night and was abducted by international criminals who will sell the child to a pair of giraffes that cannot have children. They will have fed the mother giraffe with a self inflating balloon to simulate pregnancy and allow them time to flee the country.

@akalinus I suspect that Donald Trump is somehow involved in this too. He will be helping his Russian allies in exchange for future favours.

@Asylum You almost got me to answer a political comment but not getting involved. Got to watch my blood pressure, you know.

You know, I think you nailed it. The Russians are in on this conspiracy. I forgot about the one where she is not really pregnant, she is pretending so she can keep Oliver. She is looking for a baby giraffe to kidnap but they won't let her outside.

Oh, me too. I just found it funny that people are coming up with these theories. Praying for a healthy baby and mama.

@snowy This is why they have the breeding program. Giraffes are endangered and they are trying to save them. Every giraffe birth is important. We can joke around about this but it is serious business.

I think Lany uploaded something about giraffes...like them eating bones...if I recall right...that sure was shocking and it was not told to me on April 1st.

When I read your post, it brought back a memory. A friend once told me that she went to a zoo and saw a giraffe eat a bone. I really did not believe her, but maybe there was some truth behind her statement.

I haven't been following it at all but have heard about this giraffe. I hope she gives birth soon. Some people come up with the craziest things! Lol

I saw most of these in comments on Facebook coverage of the giraffe family. Some, I heard from other people. It is fun but the breeding program is important.

Having a long neck (like April the giraffe) is often seen as sexy in Myanmar. #touching my neck now. Lol
