Do you have a relaxing Saturday planned? I WISH I did!

No gigs this weekend. No obligations. Or so I thought. But I have someone (maybe--he hasn't called yet) who is supposed to come over and maybe buy a pair of speakers today. Plus I have to visit a kid client whose information mysteriously disappeared from my files. That means I have to do a "drive by." (I know where he lives.) I don't even know if he'll be home.
And I emailed my friend (the one who records my tunes that Vanny and DJ have posted on YouTube) to ask if he wants to "jam" this evening. It's the uncertainty that bothers me, I suppose. Will my kid client be home? Will that guy stop by later this afternoon? Will my buddy want to jam? I suppose I'd better get "off and on"--off my tush and on my feet and get this day going.
Are you able to relax today? Does uncertainty bother you as much a it bothers me?

I think every day has a touch of uncertainty to it. Even when you 'know' what you're going to do, it doesn't always work out the way you expect, sometimes better, sometimes worse. I hope your day goes well and your kid client is home, your buddy wants to jam and the person comes to pick up the speakers.
I love the peacefulness of your picture.

Weekends are always boring / relaxing for me. Nothing to really do.

@Courtlynn Biking is my default exercise, even if my bike is 20-years-old. Let's start a go-find-me-through-MyLot fund so you can get one. Craigslist is full of cheap bikes.

The best laid plans often go awry. That's why we have plan B, C and D. Have you ever looked back on a day and realized it turned out completely different than you thought was going to happen in the morning? That's what makes life fun.

@Jeanniemaries So far so good. I did get to see my kid client, and now I'm typing up the progress note, so I don't have to do it Monday. I snuck in a little guitar paying, and will go "jam" with my friend later this evening.

Yes, uncertainty does bother me at times. I tend to go with the worst scenario in my head. Trying to change that.

I do not like uncertainty either at all. It's not a good feeling to me. I am at home but relaxing? Well...maybe a little. I am babysitting and of course taking care of my 1 year old and 1 month old. =)

I would be worried about those files that somehow walked off.

For the fifth day straight, I will spend part of the day working at the store. This is a regular day for me, the others were all fill ins for others. After today though, I don't work until Wednesday, then will be off for a full week. Too much time at work dampens my enthusiasm for the place. I think I'll sign up for some guitar lessons and consider "retiring" again.

Retiring is for sissies! Keep workin' and keep jammin'! Actually, I'm in a similar situation at the preschool. I work every Friday AM there, but often get called in to work other days. I get behind in my other work, but I really enjoy my time there.

@TheHorse I need to give more attention to that guitar stuff if I am going to become proficient at all. My retirement will free up time and energy for music and writing.

Yes, I dislike uncertainty. I feel unsettled all day long!
I did relax, though. I sat and watched the fish for a couple of hours. The sharks ask to get out of the tank, so I set them down in a shallow pan of water on the floor so they could see what I was doing. One is more interested in finding food, but the other watches me and seems to be responding to me when he hears me talking.
Who knows, really... I sure don't!

I do not like it when people make plans then change at the last minute while you have put your life on hold to meet and greet them. I had been busy this weekend but I am ready for the new week now! I Hope you got your jamming session as I know you will feel nice and relaxed afterwards!

Oh yes, I had a mandatory day of relaxation today, mandated by my old body. It let me know via pain in my foot and knee. On the bright side, it's better today than yesterday, when it mandated that I use a cane to walk around.
On the other hand, I quite often mandate a day of relaxation just for funs. Those are the best days. Funny that I have to schedule a day off, since I've been retired for over ten years.
But there it is.
Oh yeah, the uncertainty question. I assume you're not talking about this or the question posed by the thought experiment known as Schrödinger's cat. Except in a way you are. In the case of the "cat" I'm usually inclined to open the "door", if for nothing else than to have that question collapse into one reality or the other.
In other words, I certainly would drive by the student's house to determine if he's at home. Then I'd go home to see if the guy calls or comes by about the speakers. And I'd probably call my buddy to get an update on the jam.
In this day of cell phones, the calls are easier to manage. And with a car, so is the question of the student being home. Another alternative is to take that hike that your photo suggests, and take it alone.
Let all those other people deal with it. The world won't stop spinning if none of those questions are answered.
