Making Up For Lost Time

Happy Monday Everyone!
I had a very busy weekend and didn't have any time to visit myLot. Now I'll be playing catch-up today and hoping to spend some quality time here.
I had company for the weekend and it was nice that my middle daughter, husband and two girls came. They live over an hour away but they have other plans for Easter so we decided that we would do our celebrating a little early.
We colored Easter eggs, had an egg hunt, played games and watched movies.
Normally when my middle daughter visits it's only for the day but we decided to make a weekend out of it since we haven't seen each other since January. They live in the mountains and have tons of snow so traveling is iffy.
It was nice having my two granddaughters to myself and them not getting swallowed up in the whole family thing when we're all together. 10 grandchildren can get loud and silly at family functions.
Anyway, I had a busy weekend and of course last night was the season finale of The Walking Dead!! I won't say anything as I hate spoilers so anyone who loves this show and didn't get to watch it yet all I'll say was IT WAS GOOD!!

It sounds like you had a wonderful time, I do enjoy sometimes splitting the family up so I can have one on one time with some of the grandchildren.

Its nice when the whole family is together but our crowd is pretty big so I don't always get to spend as much time with everyone as I'd like

I just wrote a huge, long response as my manner is and then decided to take a couple of pain pills. One rolled onto my keyboard and it looks like when I picked it up, it eliminated my response entirely. A lot of times when you re-hit the response button it shows back up, but not this time, darn. Maybe I wasn't supposed to say what I did or something.
Sounds like you had a lovely time with your family celebrating Easter. That's always nice.
My oldest daughter came home for a visit. She moved 2.5 hrs away to the other side of the state and needed some family time. She's hoping that she and her boyfriend can meet and make some friends over there as it can get a bit lonely when one or the other of them is working and there's no one nearby with which to talk.

I'm happy you had such a wonderful weekend. I missed seeing my granddaughter in another ice event, but will remedy that fast. Our weekend was packed with friends poolside and guests for cocktails, out to dinner, another cocktail party at a different friend's house, and a fabulous dinner with three dear couples at a terrific restaurant. Busy packing and shipping things home today, but there is little left to do.
