I Know My Way Around Green Bay

However, I wasn't thinking when I left to go to the hospital just after noon. My medication stopped working. I called the nurse to find out what's next. What was next was more lab work. I went to collect the kit, only I went the wrong way. By the time I figured out I was heading in the wrong direction I was able to make an easy correction. Yeah right. Did I take the right exit when I exited? No, and found myself on the highway out of town. I watched for the first exit and took it back to Green Bay. Did I make the right exit this time? No. I was headed in the right direction, but I took another wrong turn, and again had to turn around and get going right.
What should have taken fifteen minutes, took half an hour while I got myself turned around right.
I picked up my kit and got home the right way, took care of what needed taking care of and headed back to the hospital, paying attention this time and got everything taken care of. Now I wait for the test results to come back.
Since it was a while since my small bowl of cereal for breakfast, I decided to stop at Perkins on my way home. When I ordered I really thought my eyes were bigger than my stomach, however I knew I was hungry. When I got the plate, I realized I forgot how large their portions are. Yet, I ate all of it including the free slice of pie for slice of pie Monday.
Now I'm home, not too full despite all I ate, though I do know I won't be eating anything more today.
That has been my afternoon. I hope yours was better than mine and you don't get turned around or lost when you back out of your driveway.
I did go by my old house when I left, and saw everything filled in and smoothed over. There is a large mound of dirt to the side, so I'm guessing they will be starting a new house there soon.
Now I'm here to interact for a little while. I do need to work on my book yet today and get it finished by the weekend, is my plan.
Anything exciting by you? Thanks for reading.

I'm sorry that your medication stopped working, and you had such a time on the roads today.
That sounds like it should have been my day......I have a terrible sense of direction.
But today was a positive and uplifting day.
I got a lot accomplished and I went out (alone) and did not get lost! And for me, not getting lost is a huge accomplishment, or a stroke of luck

Or both. I just wasn't thinking when I left the parking lot to get to the hospital. I was almost to the college on my way out of Green Bay when I realized my mistake and was able to make a quick correction, but my mind still wasn't thinking straight. I saw the two possible directions and took the wrong one. If I'm called back to the office for a follow-up to the tests, I'll just have to keep my mind on where I'm going.

It will be interesting to see what type of house they build to replace the last one.
Glad you are moving along with your book!

So sorry to learn your meds stopped working and you got lost trying to find the lab. I rely on my navigation system and an app for getting around, especially here in Florida.
I had a fabulous day. My hubby and I are ahead of ourselves preparing for our departure. Our painting and my box of stuff has been shipped home. The car has been washed. Tomorrow we drop off our free car, clean, and close the storm shutters. Our new neighbor, Dr. J. will stop by. He will keep an eye on our place while we are gone. Lots of goodbyes tomorrow.

Glad you made it home okay. Was it nostalgic going by the old house?

Hey there, it's been a while on my end.
My best friend and I have gotten lost in our own hometown before...several times. We laugh about it now, but I can understand how frustrating it actually is. And I hope you find answers on why your medicine stopped working soon.

I am glad that land will be used again, rather than sitting vacant. Nothing exciting here, haven't heard on job yet, but I did vote today

The only exciting thing is that the construction is taking some shape. Everybody tried to stop me for their own selfish needs.
