Santa Monica High School is having a great event this month and hope some of you can attend. The event has had great attendance in the past and its free to the public. Its called Yallwest and yes that did sound like an unusual name for the Young Adult Books and middle grade writers on April 29th. More than 100 authors are signing books. You can buy books at the event.

@Fishmomma Yes, there are some big book fairs in winter in and around our town. Schools too have their book events.

My daughter is really looking forward to the event. I'm glad there is no fee and she likes to see the authors.

They have started getting the word out more. I really like book events to encourage more children to read.
