I found this under Emotional Movies on Netflix. It stars Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, Thomas Horn and Max von Sydow.
It is an incredible movie that was nominated for an Oscar in 2011.
There were moments at the beginning when I didn't think I wanted to watch it and almost turned it off, but my hand would not hit the button on the remote and I kept watching, and I'm glad I did.
Some of you younger people only read about 9/11 in your history books or have seen documentaries about it. I remember that day - the worst day as the young boy keeps referring to that day as.
It is a story about a key and the journey to find who it belongs to. It is a story of misunderstanding, love, and forgiveness. It is about finding someone and letting them go.
I don't know what movie won in this place, but this movie deserved an Oscar for the incredible performances by Thomas Horn who played the son, Sandra Bullock who played his mother, Tom Hanks, his father, and Max von Sydow - the man who lived with Granny that didn't talk.
This is a movie worth watching, and as you journey through this story with the young boy, you will understand the total emotion of what happened on 9/11 and why people will never give up even when the odds are against them.
I give this movie a solid 5 star rating. It deserves it on so many levels. If you have Netflix, I hope you will consider this movie the next time you are looking for something good to watch, something really worth your time.
Thanks for reading.

I loved this movie as well - I would give it a 5 star rating too. A realistic feeling movie, and after my daughter watched it, she has never let a phone ring again, she answers it pronto. For 21 years she would never answer a phone, not even her cell, she would wait for the person to leave a message and then text back.
