Ruby Tuesday's: Here is an idea for salad lovers

If you are a salad lover, you might be one of many frequenting Ruby Tuesday's Restaurant.
Ruby Tuesday's has been advertising their 55 item salad bar like they were the first ones to have such a large selection. Not sure if that really is a large selection, however, here is my idea.
Ruby Tuesday's Restaurant should offer the 55 item salad bar for $5.55 to those over 55 years of age.
To me, this is a great way to fill Ruby Tuesday's with those who may be willing to order other items in addition to the salad bar.
When writing to Ruby Tuesday's about this idea, I did mention it would be shared on myLot.
What would you think of this idea for those over 55 who enjoy salad bars at Ruby Tuesday's Restaurant? It could even catch on elsewhere.

Me too @DianneN And also hoping they add organic greens to the menu.

@DianneN That is what we buy for use in our home. We are yet to find a place offering salad without the bug spray. Makes it hard b/c that is all we eat, so staying home is our usual choice.

Many we know (us included) do not eat meat, so it would be a good deal. Perhaps seniors would go there and also order another item @LadyDuck
We'll probably never hear from them.

@PatZAnthony I eat mainly fish and chicken, no read meats. I like tomatoes and carrots but I cannot digest most green leaves. I remember the first time I went to Ruby Tuesday, I saw something that looked like shredded carrots and I got a serving of tomatoes and "shredded carrots", well, it was orange Ceddar cheese, I was so upset.
First time in my life that I saw orange cheese.

They should add some apples, bananas and avocados too @rebelann1949

I could go for avocados and maybe apples but nanners are way too sweet for me and if they're still green they taste awful @PatZAnthony

@rebelann We never eat bananas or any other food that is not ripe. We are still food snobs!

@Courtlynn No food is worth a 2 hour trip, so we'd be skipping it if they did not have one close by.

It would make many in our area happy, but would only be for those over 55. They offer coupons on a weekly basis here @Courtlynn

Yes good idea. I love a salad bar when all other things do not appeal to me.

@jobelbojel The Wendy's here does have salads, but not a salad bar.

Because we don't eat meat, nothing there would appeal to us except their salad choices @andriaperry
Hoping they like the idea and we see it happen here. Of course, it would only help those over 55! We get coupons weekly in the mail, so always get a discount.

@RubyHawk Those are often slow days in restaurants so it just makes good business sense for Sweet Tomatoes to do that. Others need to get on board!

Darn, we don't have one near me. I would love to go to that salad bar! That's a great idea and I would gladly pay that price for a salad that I put together myself.

It seems to me (but maybe it is just me) that seniors would be attracted to a deal like this @jstory07

Sounds like a nice idea, although I've only been in that restaurant once or thrice at the most. If I want a salad I usually just buy a bag of something cut up and make my own. You'll have to let us know what they say about your idea though.

@HazySue It would probably take 2 years for those in control to decide if the tax write-off for the food they toss is a better deal than selling it in the afternoons at a lower price.

I like Ruby Tuesday's salad bar, but bragging about 55 items? Seriously? That's a nice salad bar, but very limited. Once you count 3 types of lettuce, a small handful of actual sides, and 8 or 10 dressings, everything else is just a decent but limited number of toppings. A real salad bar should have at least 2 or 3 times the real estate.

The dressings are really a funny thing to add to the count. We have eaten at Chinese buffets that had larger salad bars and for less money @OldRoadsOnceTraveled.
