I took 3 of my granddaughter's to Dairy Queen today and I asked for the price of the child size ice creams in cups and was told that cones are only in child size, but we could get small cups and they are $1.69. Two of the girls wanted Oreo topping and one and myself wanted sprinkles. Ok I figured that it would cost a little more for the toppings. After we got the ice cream cups my order came to almost 12 dollars!!!!! I asked the cashier why and he told me that the cups with Oreo toppings were $3.08 each and the ones with the sprinkles on top were $2.69 each!!!!! At McDonald's a 10 piece chicken nugget is $3.99 and a 4 piece pack is $1. So if I buy 4 of the 4 piece nuggets make 12 nuggets for $4 and the 10 piece pack is 1 cent less, lol!

@dfollin I know..that is like when they charge $1 for a slice of cheese on a cheeseburger vs a hamburger.

That's a dollar extra for sprinkles! Pity you hadn't known - you could have taken your own.

@dfollin It makes me really cross that they charge $1 for sprinkles. I don't know what a packet of sprinkles costs but a packet would go a very long way on ice-creams. They must make a mint on the sprinkles! I think my blood pressure is rising!

I remember when McDonald's used to have the sign up with how many millions of hamburgers they had sold. Now, I think they figure that dollar menu is going to far out shine the regular one for buyers. They aren't dumb.

Our DQ here is reasonable, but we went to one in another state and a kid sized cone of plain vanilla was $2.69!
