Working on My Tumblr Blog: Trying CoPromote ... Again!

This is a follow up to my discussion from August 2016. In trying to test CoPromote, things got jumbled up. For one thing my old Tumblr account got deleted and I had to create a new one. But even before that happened I found the sharing system a little convoluted and confusing. But I'm sure it was all on my side of the fence. The purpose of CoPromote is to drive traffic to your blogs. It's a quid pro quo type of sharing. You “cross-promote with each other to reach new audiences”. If you share or promote somebody's blog, they will share or promote yours. Sounds simple enough. I'm going to give this one more try and see what happens. Just signed up again. I connected my new Tumblr account and some of my social media accounts. Hey! It's FREE!
Yesterday Tumblr Staff was doing site maintenance so I was unable to post, share links, update or do anything pertaining to my blogs. So today is a catch up...

I signed up several years ago, when I was still writing for Squidoo. I have never really used the site.

I never heard of it. Would it be any good for this site or just blogs?

@ramapo17 It's only good for blogs, it is to receive more visits. People who has not a myLot account can not leave comments here, so in my opinion it's useless.

@ramapo17 - CoPromote is mainly to increase your following on Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. However, if you share your myLot discussions via social media and it sends people to this site, and the membership grows, and the site earns money, and the pay rate increases ... it's the old "one thing leads to another". It's an indirect benefit. Increasing your following is the direct benefit. Well known sites like Mashable use and endorse it. Its been around for several years. I'm guessing it's doing something right and I'm doing something wrong. Like I said, I'm giving it another try. I am hoping it increases my social media presence and online visibility. That's the plan.

I have used Copromote for my blog posts as well. Usually, I get quite a few shares but I always get lots of Twitter followers when I use it.
