I wish *I* had a sense of entitlement

...because truthfully, it sucks working for a (semi) living. The soles of my feet hurt constantly, even when I am not on them, yet still I work part-time because I don't feel entitled to be supported by everyone else when I can still work. But then I see people that don't/won't work that have better houses than me, better vehicles than me, that eat much better than I can afford to...and it pisses me off. They are quite content to get handouts from the Government (which is really from taxpayers) and have no interest in going out and working because they appear to think everything can just be handed to them. Must be nice to believe the world owes you...

I don't think that you'd be content living that kind of a lifestyle. I know that you've got your struggles, like anyone does, but it takes a bigger person to put up with the struggles and get along on what we can make then to throw the towel in and live on government social hand-outs. Just think of the good morals that you're passing on to the Scar.

@JolietJake And working for a living is all that we can provide to our loved ones.

There's one particular person here in town that has been passing the philosophy on to all his kids...all 4 boys over 20 living at home and won't get jobs, all 4 girls married and expecting their husbands to 'take care' of them.

@JolietJake Thats so sad. Can you imagine that life? It is unfair for those of us (most of us) who pay boatloads of taxes. I understand for some they are not able to work but there are far too many people abusing the system!

@blackbriar Trump might as well employ more tax accountants to catch them. It will be worth the effort.

I had a student whose mother knew all the ropes to get the state to pay for their house, car, pool, clothing, etc. She also didn't work. All three children were in special education. Such a lowlife!

You absolutely should be getting some type of assistance. What you earn isn't enough to live on.

I live in the city, and these are my neighbors. All of them drive nicer, newer cars. I got 4 people living in my house working and still we live in poverty. I kept saying I must be doing something wrong.. and I guess it is that I didn't have children and mooch when I had the chance. Now I have to keep working til .. well, forever most likely! And then die.

I despise people who sponge off us tax payers when they actually CAN work For those who cant find a job and have to be on welfare for a while, that's totally different.

I have never lived on the back of someone, except when I was a kid and I lived on the back of my father. I hate those who think that everything is due to them.

My daughter and I noticed that when what I called 'the foreigners' started moving in here they had nicer furniture, nicer cars, etc. Go figure. Here they are refugees most of them and have better situations than we do. Sure they come from bad situations but, hey I did too. Why does America have to pay their rent, give them free nice furniture, and free cars? Why don't they have to earn a livings and pay their way like we do?

No...you are a God loving person. They can not work like you when they become old. But we will not be here to see what sort of life will they lead at your age. You are happy with what you got. This is your property and no one can steal it.
