On May 1 I have always given a plant to a friend and have received a plant in return. If you were to receive a plant what kind would you want to see on your porch tomorrow? I'm hoping to to receive a Rose Bush or a Pansy. The weather has been perfect, so tomorrow will be a good time to plant. Hope all of you are having nice weather.

That is why I said tomorrow, as its still April 30th for me and will be for a lot of hours. Many people will be in bed when its May 1 here, as I'm 3 hours earlier than you are now. I'll be going to work at Midnight, so put up the post before work.

Our weather is not so nice unfortunately. But an exchange of plants is new to me. Nice though..

Some people leave a basket with a plant or something else in the basket. You put the basket on the porch, ring the door bell and leave, so you won't know who left it unless you see the person.

I would like an azalea, I have enough roses and pansies.

That would be a great plant to add to any yard. They are so pretty when they bloom.

A rose bush would be nice but I'd need to fence it off from the kangaroos. They love roses.

The kangaroos would have a lot of food, as this city has a lot of roses. I don't think there is even one house that doesn't have at least one rose bush.

@Fishmomma It amazes me that they can pick off the leaves without getting pricked.

Roses do take a lot of work with pruning, watering and keeping them in good health. I think my husband would prefer almost any other plant that doesn't have thorns.

That is a really pretty choice. I am off to get some plants ready to place on front porch.
