In Mylot, is it necessary to change Profile picture and Name at every month?

No, I have not changed my name or photo since I joined 9 years ago.

No. If anything, by changing your display name and profile picture so frequently, you will find people aren't responding to you. Mainly because those who normally respond to you, won't recognize your new display name and photo.

No it would have the opposite effect, it confuses people when others just change their picture all the time.

I joined here 6 years ago and its the same profile picture and name in fact i recognize some other members only with their profile picture , its gets printed in mind

Id say thats not true. I don't plan on changing my name or picture. Ever. Yet still have bunch of mylot friends and responses.

No. That's the complete opposite of what would probably happen! I've had the same name and profile picture since I joined over 10 years ago. Personally, I'd get confused. Changing your profile picture, yes, OK, you might want to do that, especially if it is a picture of yourself and you want to keep it up to date. But changing your name doesn't make sense. People might actually miss your discussions, not realising who you are. Why wouldn't friends respond to a post if you don't change the name and picture? Sorry but that's completely illogical.

That particular conversation and response might have been in a different context altogether since very few people here change their profile picture often. Mine for example has been there for a couple of years now..

i don't think it is not a requirement for readers to read your discussions. i can change my profile if i need to.

It's upto you if you want to change the picture or not... I don't think it's anyway related to the responses..

No, it's not.

I don't think so. I changed my profile pic because I just want . And I like knowing who I'm commenting. So if the name and the profile pic are changed every month I don't think I can keep up and will probably think of it as a new person for me.
