A lot of Mylot

Or I could have named it ,"Yet another new use Of my smart phone."
Whatever.
A few of you may be knowing about my transition to a smart phone and how I am grappling with the intricacies involved. I usually mylot from my desktop , which is very comfortable for me. However that keeps me sort of bounded to a fixed time of the day.
Now I discovered mobile mylotting .So I do check up on the sites at inbetween times too.Because I travel quite a bit, I am even mylotting on the go.
So wheres the snag?
Its just that there is a certain Mr Autocorrect in my phone who thinks he is smarter than me and wants to prove it.
I have discovered that the words I want to use are not the words he decides to include. So when the responses to my response comes, "Huh? ? ?", I know he has been at it again. Have had to clarify to quite a number of members here so that my response made sense.
I guess I need to keep a strict eye on him. He needs to know that I decide my words.

I have been doing Mylot through smart phone since long. My computer is in breakdown that made me too switch on to phone. People says it's not easy to do it through phone but I find it is easier than computer. I remember once I responded to discussion regarding "pole dancing" and Mr autocorrect write it "pope dancing" and one of the user corrected it .

I know what you mean about autocorrect (I have a lot of different names for it, some of which are not family-friendly!)--I would have a very hard time writing an entire post on my phone, that's for sure. I always do MyLot on my computer, so I can type more easily, as well as work with several tabs open, for pictures, research, etc.

@responsiveme auto correct annoys me just as much. I try to double check everything but sometimes it still catches me.

Double checking is the trick. I do it now but as you say sometimes I press the send button and then it's anybody's guess ...If autocorrect has decided to change my word

My dumb phone has a place where I can turn off/on the autocorrect. I keep mine turned off. Smart phones don't have that option???

that 'autocorrect' or 'predictive texts' in my phone often errs my spelling, that i have to edit when i am on desktop.

@responsiveme there is no autocorrect on desktop, so when i see any of my comments with errors in spelling, i edit it here.

For me, working from a phone is a little tricky, however if my laptop does not work, at least the phone will be there to use

That his a major problem for most people with smart devices. I have yet to experience that one, but I've heard about it from others. I wonder whether it's possible to turn that off while mylotting and then turn it back on again, or whether it's automatic whether you like it or not? I think it's good to read through what you write before sending it out just to be sure and then you won't have to backtrack to fix things or clarify later.

You can turn it off any time.Thing is sometimes it's faster as you don't need to type all the words because it anticipates and then you press the words you want.
So basically we need to keep an eye on whether the right word is chosen.
And I have yet to get into the habit.

@responsiveme I don't think I will. When I travel I have my laptop and I prefer to use my desktop at home. It's a comfortable setup.
