What Will Tomorrow Bring? / myLot

Not much telling for these five ostrich eggs. I wonder if the mom will sit on them. I wonder if they are fertile? I have known of zoos to have ostrich egg breakfasts as fund raisers. I wonder how long they keep fresh. Tomorrow, for me could bring anything. I think tomorrow night we are going to a local festival. I know we will on Saturday, as the Charlie Daniels Band will be playing. I need to catch up on lawn mowing, and plant some more container gardens. I keep wanting to do as @marsha32 and sew SOMETHING every day. I got my summer school contract in e mail today. I need to sign it and return it. My bedtime snack did not stick with me. I will have to find some more food or I will never go to sleep. I hope you have a wonderful tomorrow.

Those eggs need to be kept warm or they won't live more that maybe a couple of days. You have the Charlie Daniels Band playing at your local festival? That would be enjoyable. Hope you find these other things go well.

I am looking forward to it. We got our buttons to get in at a discount a couple of months ago. I just worry about the parking.

Ostrich eggs have been eaten since the very ancient times, one egg is about the equivalent of a dozen hen eggs. It takes an hour and half to boil 1 ostrich egg. As all the eggs, the sooner you consume the egg, the better.

@GardenGerty I never thought either, because they are not very common. I wonder if the taste is similar to the normal eggs.

Enjoy the concert. It will be terrific I am sure. I kind of hope the mother comes and sits on the eggs. It would be nice to see them hatch if they are fertile.

Maybe she does sit on them some of the time, but they are out in the open. Other zoos we have been to also take them in and incubate them.
