Well, this morning really gave me an opportunity to learn something new. I had tried to upload one of my photos with my post this morning but it just wouldn't load, so I whimpered about it and sent a message to @mylotbugs which to my dismay I could have simply asked @jolietjake about. JJ asked if the format of my shot was .png or .jpeg, I thought all my shots were being saved as .jpeg but in the case of this mornings shot it was .png which I had not noticed. Usually when I transfer my photos from my camera it comes in the .jpeg format but for some reason all that has changed, now my shots are transfering in .png format. Thank you for mentioning that to me JJ, I didn't know about the difference but now I do So, how many of you have been saving your shots in .png?

Yes, I thought I was too but something in my PC has changed and now it automatically saves my photos in PNG, I'm just glad JJ mentioned the difference.

I've noticed that a few times already. I guess I need to stop bugging Bugs and just bug JJ first.

My camera saves all the photo in JPEG format, I use other formats only when I want to manipulate photos, because I do not want to lose details during the process.

My PC used to save the photos from my camera in JPEG but after the last win10 update it changed to PNG, I had not noticed the change until JJ mentioned it.

I never had a prob with JPEG but after the last win10 update it changed the format to PNG which Mylot had issues with. Yeah, I always shrink mine and sometimes I'll load into Excel then do a screen shot, I've found it'll blurr my shots somewhat which I like cuz then silly peeps won't try ta steal em.

Now that you ask I'm not sure. I think jpeg. Maybe that's why my pictures won't submit.

It's the PNG that caused my problems, I never had an issue with JPEG.

I usually resize mine from 6mb to 1mb @RubyHawk so far that works well. Recently my PC started saving the shots I loaded into PNG format instead of JPEG format and that caused a problem for me. Maybe @jolietjake could help you figure out why you're having trouble, he sure has helped me.

I've always saved my photos in .jpg or .jpeg. The only dealings I've had with .png are images I've acquired through sites like Pixabay.

Didn't know that, I don't use Pixabay. I'm trying to figure out how my system got changed up like this, or maybe it was an Windows 10 update of sorts.
