I wanna whine about how much life sucks in general but I am trying to keep a quasi-positive outlook so I won't

Instead I'll just sit here in front of the fan(s) and silently mope for a bit.
*silently mopes for a bit*
*mopes a bit more*
*stays silent for another minute*
Okay, I guess I am done moping quietly.
So there's no a/c in the house or at work.
And yes, I guess I could put a window unit in the bedroom, but then I'd have to run it all the time because there is only one window and I'd be blocking any hint of a breeze that could possibly otherwise dare to show itself.
Plus I can't really afford the bill.
And I'm not sure I can convince the Boss to install A/C at the shop, although I am pretty sure I'll need it before the summer is over.
It got up to 86 in the shop yesterday afternoon (outside temp 95) but luckily it only got to 81 in it while I was still working.
And it's still 80 there this morning.
And 84 in the house.
And 77 outside.
Okay, ignore me, I'm just trying to get this out of my system so I can go back to being my jolly old self again.
NOT looking forward to August & September though.

@JolietJake the only times I have been to Illinois it has had NASTY humidity. We took kids to a Christian College for Bible Quiz, and there was no a/c. I bought a few small fans.

Illinois gets a bit of humidity with the temps which always makes it feel a bit worse unfortunately.

Even though I keep my temp gauge at 80 (ac) during most of the early summer, when it gets to be 100 plus here in Texas, I turn it down to maybe 78 @JolietJake . It makes it miserable to sleep if it's too hot. And think about poor Scar. Panting, throwing books at you; giving you that 'look'. I do have a box fan in my bedroom and a ceiling fan, box fan and oscillator fan in the living room.

We do have window units in all the bedrooms, but do not run them all. We run one when we sleep and that is it. We have fans blowing on the computers and us. I cannot afford a big bill myself. Right now I go in to work with hubby. One of the cars has good a/c, but it is not the one we have been using.I hope you get a/c for work.

I think there are window free units, but... I cant imagine them to be cheap. lots of box fans and those cooler neck rags with the things that hold water I guess

Am I the only one on here that loves hot weather? Seriously, hope you find a solution.

It's 83 °F outside and 76 °F inside right now (two window units and I live in an 117-year-old drafty house downtown). I can't stand temperatures above 70 °F. The National Weather Service forecasts a high of 90 °F today, and I am having my fair share of personal summers on top of it all. I am so glad I have a freezer.

Sometimes all you can do is just bare with it. Its very hot here as well and running AC the whole day is very expensive so sometimes have to just be content with the fan.
