Begonias ..

Begonias

I find that most varieties of Begonias are easy to grow and maintain and they look decorative and beautiful. They can be grown both outdoors and indoors. Ideally they should be kept in a shaded place , like for example arranged under a tree , so that there is no intense sun call by directly on the plant ..

They are available in all plant nurseries across India since they grow well in tropical weather

We once had those flowers but unfortunately we had a flood over here and lost all of them. They are very beautiful flowers

I am not sure if the stem of this plant can be eaten. Is it?

@kiran8 It's very green and colorful right now here. Swiss people love geraniums, they have the balconies covered with geraniums.

They grow very easily in tropical weather and very easy to propogate . You could do it with a single leaf ..

The problem with them is their inability to adjust to changing weather conditions. Earlier I used to keep the plants in the shade during Monsoons but realized that they began wilting. Now I leave them under the trees all through the rainy season and they seem to thrive. It s because they are native yo tropical jungles where it rains constantly
