Today is an absolutely lovely warm winters day in Jo'burg . Actually I shouldn't even have worn a jacket! I say winter sarcastically, because we're not having a normal winter at all, more like summery days and cool nights. I feel like I could catch a tan, quite frankly.
I took some photos of our supposed winter plants outside the main gate of our gated community. Everything is a blooming.
This morning I was full of thingys and what you ma call-its. That was how I described objects whose names I could not remember. Isn't it wonderful when you can't remember the given names of objects.
I was like so..."pass me that thingy for that what you ma call-it" . Yes, that is how my brain is functioning today
. Have a wonderful what you ma call-it everyone!

Is that a cactus plant, that one on the left? Wow, it bears lovely flowers!, And those pretty white ones, are they roses?
I actually do have moments when I could not remember the name of object or even person even if feels like it is already at the tip of my tongue.
We call it "senior moment".

It's been a day of sunshine and showers here, which is typical seeing as it's the start of the Wimbledon fortnight.
We have lots of thingys and whatchamacallits over here and many who jam a flips if you're short of any.
I do like the flower on the left, fiery and vibrant. Very nice.

@bluesa Sorry
Don't forget to put the "who" in front of the "jam a flips" Otherwise it's just another thingy.
I am not good at remembering plant names. I know a rose when I see one
And daffodils and tulips I recognise. After that it's pure guess work.

Your winter blooms are so lovely! What a lovely photo Catherine.
And a nice day to boot. I know what you mean you could get a tan..it is often like that here in the winter time..one could wear shorts even the sun is so strong.
My Mom used to say get me my thing..and we would all of us look around like whu?

Thank you dear @TiarasOceanView
. Yes, it was a nice weather day, yes, goodness, I was almost into a t-shirt.
I can relate to your Mom and people were looking at me like "whu?" .

Your winters aren't normally cold like our though are they? It is funny given the distance from the equator you would expect to have similar weather.

Yes, we don't get snow, Iz. But usually we are about 11C or 15C this year we've had 22C and 20C @BelleStarr .
